white jumped him to start it...and quit for the last 10 seconds to end it. Boychuk had gotten squared away and wanted to even up the tilt, but once white felt his initial advantage slipping away he went for the death clutch. I've never seen someone as excited to see other people fight as subban...or maybe it's just relief that he dodged another "be a man moment.".

Draw and the end looked more like a waltz.

Posted by dracutdad on March 08, 2011 at 09:39 PM

The puss from AHL was looking for Marchand but jumped Boychuck who never could undo himself from the hold on habitant, chara is not a dirty player and the hit was not with that type of ending.1 up for Habs tonight see you on the 24th in 'our house'

Posted by JRush82 on March 09, 2011 at 07:14 AM

Okay fight, think it looked better than it was. Nice job of jumping a guy for missing what would have been a clean hit. So now not only do you have to defend yourself when you land a clean hit, you have to defend yourself when you miss a clean hit attempt. I am all for fighting, don't get me wrong, but to much of this kind of thing As far as the fight is concerned both guys got there shots in win White.

Posted by sporr on March 09, 2011 at 12:41 PM

good tilt. I like the way Boychuk steps up to try and remove Subbans head. I wish the Avs would have given the kid a chance. Instead the Avs trade away any kid with a heart and a mean streak and are loaded on D with undersized kids who can skate fast out of the way of their own shadow! CHARRA IS A CLEAN PLAYER AND THAT WAS UNINTENTIONAL. IT LOOKED TO ME LIKE HE MIGHT HAVE LET UP. GET WELL SOON PAC!

good fight by these 2 guys.

Posted by CofRed92 on March 08, 2011 at 11:19 PM

if they wanted a tru fighter Montreal should have recalled Jimmy Bonneau. whites good, but he does other shit. Jimmy's a beast

Posted by Bigford83 on March 11, 2011 at 12:20 AM

The most remarkable thing about this fight is that Jack Edwards did NOT call it like a complete homer.

Posted by orr4president on March 09, 2011 at 09:44 AM

Good fight Chara has a long memory =)

Posted by SabreEleven on March 12, 2011 at 08:06 PM

Jack Edwards is the worst announcer in the history of the NHL. His homerism is a blackeye on the NHL.

Posted by TommyGun29 on March 09, 2011 at 09:10 AM

I'm calling this one a draw...White threw way more punches but very few landed. Lots of helmet and shoulder pad shots. I don't think Boychuk has the chin to take that many so most of them missed. Dangler - if you close your eyes to listen to a "video" you need a hobby. LOL I agree with most on here, he is a brutal announcer.... and I'm a Bruin fan!!

Posted by Orielly on May 10, 2014 at 06:19 PM

I guess just because a canadian player was IN the fight, he gets the win? Just for not getting smoked

Posted by kurthoward on March 09, 2011 at 08:04 AM

Great fight! I like that these guys let the helmets go...honorable thing to do. Didn't know Boychuk had a bald spot though....hmmmmm. Maybe HE should have left the helmet on.

Posted by mctuttle on March 08, 2011 at 09:25 PM

Holy Hell, this is one of the best fights I have ever seen. Each punch thrown looks like a potential winner and both guys trade essentially the same amount, with the same amount of fervor and devastating power. Tits.

FIGHT OF THE YEAR

Posted by 18buell on February 15, 2018 at 03:11 PM

White jumped Boychuk and connected. Boychuk hung in there and showed how tough he is. Great battle. Win Boychuk.

Boyfuck looses

Posted by MisterPoe on March 10, 2011 at 02:24 PM

That is how you lose a fight like a man. Hopefully the rest of the Habs bench took notice so there is less whining next time.

Posted by Behn Wilson on March 08, 2011 at 11:49 PM

Boychuk employs a series of unsuccessful fighting strategies, allowing White the chance to perpetually come back from any minimal momentum swings that may have occurred. Chara knew exactly what he was doing, but the Habs, much like my Wings, have no one to answer. the bell. LOL Slshbleed on the Crowder coif.

good fight- white wins For those of you who know anything about hockey ( and there are very few) see B.B.Bruins post he said it all. 2 minute penalty at best. everybody should finish their checks, if the stantion isn't there all these montreal purse carriers would'nt be whining today. I've seen many, many players checked into the stantion before and injured with no penalty. The call was excessive and ridiculous.THIS IS HOCKEY NOT TENNIS. there was no intent for all your morons who have never played the game. The game is fast and he angled his man off the way he should have into the boards. unfortunately the stantion is part of playing surface and he's not the first and won't be the last to hit it. wake up Idiots............can't wait for the rematch march 26. let the beatdown begin!!!!!!!!!! hah Hey all you canadien geniuses,NHL agreed with me it was a good hit NO SUSPENSION. I TOLD YOU SO ---MOOOOROOONS.... AND YOU L.A.FAN I TOOK IT TO THE BANK AND THEY CLOSED MY ACC'T. i should have known when somebody from the west coast claims he knows the game.you must have played street hockey oh by the way blood and modano fan how can you always be so wrong??

Posted by staceyb on March 09, 2011 at 05:22 PM

Ryan White was quite impressive alternating with the rights and lefts. It's hard to tell if he got tagged any with that head of hair flying all over the place.

Posted by bruiser11 on March 09, 2011 at 07:07 PM

Boychuk got licked there.

Posted by hal29 on March 09, 2011 at 01:38 PM

White with the win after jumping Boychuck on an attempted hit. It is sad White gets a win after jumping a non-fighter and Boychuck held his own and just as Boychuck wanted to get lose White holds on. You bring a guy up from the minors just for this and whats he do, he goes after a non-fighter. This is your tough guy? The guy who backs down from Thornton 4 times and Lucic once. Real tough. Fight someone face to face and someone who fights a little more then Boychuck. Oh and don't attack him from behind like a bitch! Cheap win for White, but credit to Boychuck for coming back and landing some bombs until White turns into huggy bear . Bigbadbruins, we want Lucic to fight he can do boh as he has shown in the last few weeks. To have Lucic fight defeats the purpose of signing him. He was signed as a goal scorer. He needs to play physical and fight who ever challenges him it is how he keeps respect but no one challenges him. Lucic challenge White and he declines. White will only go after non-fighters when they are not expecting it. b.t. wilson it is funny you say that Gionta yaps at Chara of course it was his teammate. Did you hear Gionta's comments after the game? He basically said the game is fast and Chara is a big strong guy. He nevere said it was dirty as it wasn't and shouldn't get a suspension. Boychuck's hit on Subban well that was Subban try to dodge a hit as all Boychuck's hits are clean as can be. Don't hear anyone talking about Placenek's leg check on Lucic. That wasn't intentional? I thought Chara's hit was late but clean. He didn't drive Max into the divider, he gave him a little push. You can' blame Chara for finishing a check or being stronger. This should of been just 2 minutes and no suspension. It happens you don't see hits like this often but they do happen. If Max never got hurt there would of just been 2 minutes. Watched it again and not impressed with White after he did give up and hold on after Boychuck fed him a few punches and Whites history doesn't show him fighting any real tough guys other then the aged Guerin which was a nothing fight!

Posted by hydr4 on March 08, 2011 at 10:22 PM

White with the win, but good showing by Boychuk. I can't believe a Habs player won a evenly match tilt. Chara suspension prediction: less than 4 games

White knew he had to win this fight and he didn't disappiont. Wicked hit by Chara and I know idiot Bruins fans will say he didn't mean to, whatever, these 2 have had something going on for awhile, puck wasen't even in the vicinity, ridiculous, these cheap shots have gotten WAY out of hand and Chara would be a great guy to make an example out of, could have killed the guy. Big tough Lucic trying to pick a fight with Pouliot at the end of the game, get out of here! Pathetic. Boston's supposed to be the better team? Sorry, 4 games to 1 Montreal, looks to me like it's the other way around, enough said.

Posted by LA KING FANATIC on March 09, 2011 at 03:21 PM

Bigbadbruib22- We will all have us a real good cry Win to White in a close one Chara really is going to get nailed for this, trust me. i played the game and when you run someone into the turnbuckle like that, you are going to get penalized. It was too late and he rode him too long to not have been his intention. He was looking to really lay him out, injure no but make a statement yes. Unfortunately he did more that that. I Like Chara but he will miss days, on top of which he is high profile and a captain...he will be made an example of. Take that to the bank. People disagree on this site, who cares... Spout off and have fun. Bigbadbruin22...stick aiound to give me what for when we disagree

Posted by IMPEACH on March 09, 2011 at 10:30 AM

Jeez, BigBadBruin22, it's a forum about friggin hockey fights. It's not life and death. You're the one who sounds like an 11-year-old. You sound like Jack Edwards. Still hurting from blowing a 3-0 lead last spring? Your guy lost the fight, too.

nice win for White against a boston goon they suck , bunch of cheap shots no cup in their future hahahaha

What is up with the feed - made me sick trying to watch the action?

Posted by modanofan_17 on March 09, 2011 at 01:48 PM

Are you freaking kidding me BigBadBruin22??? I mean really?? And I am SOOO not talking about the fight here! About the fight we agree..it was closer than most people are saying. I am even gonna go in and say I MOSTLY agree with you on the crazy posts on here for most fights. 99% of the time people on here post "Winner" to the guy who fell on top of the other guy, even if he got Sh*t Pumped the whole fight. They all talk up how good the fighters are on their team and how bad the other teams tough guys are but they don't really pay attention, so again...I am agreeing with you here. BUT......... Your analysis of Milan Lucic, while entertaining to read, is NOT, I repeat NOT the end all be all. There are several players in the NHL that Lucic doesn't hold a candle to in the tough guy department. Now don't get me wrong, I LOVE watching Milan play and have since his days in the Dub with Vancouver. And if you will recall, Lucic's first season in the NHL he had more fights than goals so don't use the term "Goon" and try and keep him out of the discussion. But REALLY, No Suspension?? Are you effing crazy?? Chara is a class act most of the time but to say this BLATANT late hit, Interference with OBVIOUS INTENT TO INJURE doesn't warrant a suspension shows ALL of us "eleven year olds" shows EXACTLY who the no brained IDIOT is that posting things on here. JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE A BRUINS FAN DOES NOT MEAN YOUR PLAYERS CAN DO NO WRONG!!! You, my friend, are stupid. Period. Watch the tape, then watch it again. Then watch it in slow motion and no matter how you cut it, Chara put him into the "turnbuckle" WELL after the player was done playing the puck. And he did it intentionally. Maybe not hurting him, but the hit had every intention behind it. Grow up BigBadBruins22, stop cheering for your team just because and please DO stop posting on here, Crap like this that you are spewing does Hockey a "HUGE Injustice" Oh yeah BigBadBruins68.......BS reason or not, White was called up to do what he did at this game. And he tried to trip Subban and he got out of the way. Another Bender with a clever name.......you guys Brothers? Losers!

BOY-CHUCK needed a whipping ...too bad it wasn't worse

Posted by bruins34 on March 09, 2011 at 08:38 AM

Great fight. White's a fighter, and that is his job. It shows in his stamina and his superior style and techninique. I give him credit, but I still despise what Montreal has become. They're a team of instigators and cheap shot artists who hide behind the refs when they are called to account. The results of this game are the responsibility of Julien. Instead of pressing the physical advantage, he had them play like pu##ies and started his number 2 goaltender. If Montreal has any sense, they will keep White with the club to give them some sort of deterrent. As for the Chara hit...terrible to see. Patches plays like a typical punk Hab, but I hated to see that. Hope he gets well. It was hardly an Ulf hit wrt intent, but he's still gonna see some pressbox time.

Posted by FotiuNystrom on March 09, 2011 at 08:38 AM

"I hate it when a guy has to fight after a clean hit"... .Really...then watch the freakin ice capades....That is Hockey...u run Crosby..be ready...u run Gretsky...be ready...run Lemieux..be ready...run Bossy...Run Clarke...Run Lafleur...Run Orr...be ready ..(No, Suba isn't in that class)...but the point is a team MUST stick up for each other from top player-to the 7th defensemen...Not for every hit,...but for every BIG hit--yeah even clean ones.....and EVERY obvious run. (steps down from soapbox) White with the win.

Posted by McCunn8585 on March 08, 2011 at 11:00 PM

Win White. Bruins look a little different when they aren't picking on 38 yr old Czechs. Glad that Boychuk didn't go for the knee.

Posted by kimo_coyote on March 09, 2011 at 09:05 PM

In spite of Edwards "feeble" comments. White with edge in what was a very close fight. As for Chara's hit I don't believe for a second it was intentional. It happened and unfortunately the post was there. Two more feet and probably wouldn't have been anything more than interference. Sadly a good player will be out of the game for some time. And I am neither a Hab's or Bruin's fan.

Posted by sulley71 on March 08, 2011 at 11:03 PM

White with the beat down on Boychuck!

Posted by TexasCanadien on March 09, 2011 at 12:32 AM

Hey Johnny Boychuk. Ryan White is not spelled S-P-A-C-E-K. Stupid ass Bruin, take your visor off when you fight. Oh, that's right, the fists got in the way. And I love how Ryan White pounded the hair off of the top of Boychuk's head. Win White in a spirited fight.

Posted by fernben8 on March 09, 2011 at 11:43 AM

Well, I 'm going to agree with 'BigBadBruin22'... The Win goes to White but this fight is a lot closer. If the Habs have brought White up for 'fair Justice', well I think the habs are in for a disappointment. Respects to White, but he ain't gonna cut it. As for the Chara hit...have to say it wasn't intentional. Get well soon Max !

Posted by BrewzYourEye on March 09, 2011 at 05:17 PM

Boychuk got his ass beat. Anyone calling draw should be looked at as serious homer.

Posted by sambeaupre on March 09, 2011 at 11:49 AM

Good fight, Boychuck got dominated hard, good to see him fight against someone who is not 37 years old and with someone who want to fight. White almost knocked out him with some solid uppercuts, still don't understand people who vote for Boychuck... As for Chara, the guy played for 12 seasons in the league, he knows what he was doing, he got beat in speed and push pacioretty right on the post, plus he had a chance to push him 5 feets before, over the bench of the bruins, poor leadership by Chara.

Posted by Blackbeard101 on March 10, 2011 at 08:58 PM

Glad to see a Hab stick up for obvious cheap shots the Bruins have been dealing out this year under the protection of Colin Campbell. Solid win for White (as the damage is clearly evident on Boychuck's face). Seems strange that the Bruins always accumualte fights against the non-fighting teams and avoid the noted fighters in the league...with the exception of Thorton, but even he has lost his share this year. Lucic will only fight non fighters and only when he has the jump on the other guy (a carbon copy of Cam Neely!!!). As for Chara, there is no question that he knew exactly what he was doing with that hit...definitely deserves a suspension for that cheap shot...but, I am sure that good ole Colin will look the other way, as usual, when it comes to the Bruins.

Posted by limeyfrog on March 09, 2011 at 09:01 PM

Boychuk should stick to picking on non starters like Spacek. Against any kind of handspeed he doesn't look so good. Doesn't he have like 25lbs on White?

Posted by BigBird on March 09, 2011 at 11:51 PM

Good job by White. White's not a goon, just a tough kid. If you get all the camera angles you see Boychuk threw a knee and elbow at Suban. I guess Boychuk better go back to beating up old Europeans. As for Chara, 2 games ago he attacked Pacioretty after the game, last game he put Pacioretty out of the game with a two-hander across the back of his legs behind the play, and then this game he "accidentally" almost kills him? By the way, official word is that Pacioretty has a broken neck and a severe concussion. The Boston newspapers were calling him a faker this morning, good work asswipes. Chara just got approval from Campbell to do anything he wants to anyone in the league. I guess it helps when your teammate's Daddy is the judge and jury.

Posted by Bruins29 on March 09, 2011 at 01:31 PM

Ryan White did just enough to win this fight. Boychuk hung in there with him for most of it, but White takes it on points.

Posted by pharroch on March 10, 2011 at 10:11 AM

Good for Ryan White. Boychuk picked on Spacek last game...really tough Johnny! White kicked his ass and sent a message. Habs dominated from then on...Should prove to the organisation that fighting IS part of the game, an important part! Chara has been looking for Max Pacioretty for two games now so for sure intent to injure was there. Way to go Chara, you got him back for that light shove you got. Chara is the poorest loser there is. When things are going great, he's a gentleman (too much even) and when he's losing, he's a dirty bitch.

Posted by Mackyboy on March 09, 2011 at 07:30 AM

Great fight by White. Boychuk quickly realized he wasn`t facing Spacek this time !!!

Posted by CLUB34 on March 09, 2011 at 10:22 AM

Ryan White "Shadow" and his Salami hair style defeats a game and always willing Johnny Boychuk. It must be a breath of fresh air for Habs fans to see a guy literally fighting for a spot on the team. This tilt had bad intentions from the get go and did not disappoint. Boychuk took a run at Subban (I only wish he actually got him) and White stuck up for a teammate. Pure hockey. I really wish Subban dropped the gloves with Horton at the end of the game during the Lucic/Pouliot incident. Not because he had to but, because the outcome of the game was decided and he would not have hurt the team while showing a little heart. Pretty funny how Horton eventually pushed him away into the boards like an annoyed older brother (clearly from another mother).

Posted by decostamail on March 09, 2011 at 07:34 AM

Angry men. But not as angry as all of us who had to listen to jack Edwards call the play by play Big Z will get a few days off without pay for the cheap shot

Posted by riffraff on March 09, 2011 at 02:26 AM

Im no habs fan but I gotta say I watched the last game where Boychuck beat up on a little czeck guy named Spacek and I thought "what a piece of shit that bruin is...there is no way he needed to do that" and blammo! what goes around comes around cos he just got dummied by Ryan White after an attempted knee on a shitdisturber in Subban. Nice work RW! that Boychuck is in for a world of pain if he keeps taking the cheap route. and still a piece of shit. Lucic and Thomas is where it ends. The rest of he Bruins can eat it!.. Chara you big pantywearing douche!

Posted by ETR on March 09, 2011 at 09:00 AM

Gee, listening to the announcers, you might have thought Boychuk might have won this fight. White all the way.

Posted by BooSanta on March 16, 2011 at 12:50 PM

Great fight for White and worth getting tossed. He policed what could have been a snapped feemer if Chukroast succeeded with the hit that PK soup'son hopped over. Good job of White sticking up for his mate. He will likely have to stay up for the remainder of the season to keep the habs from getting mamed further. Still alot of this rough stuff is hockey. The Brew crew has a better reputation for chippy but cleaner play that some other teams out here in the east. Still if you're a habs fan you want to keep things even and the brew crew has lots of tough guys. White gets caught early despite instigating the fight and still manages to out slug the Roast like Rocky on a side of beef.

i hate fights after good hits. but that was no good hit, boychuk begged for that. That 70's Kid with an absolute ferocious showing here, i'm calling that an 8, a pretty damn good fight, both of these cats are angry and it shows. i've never seen anyone so grateful as the PK after that one. *good god! just watched that chara hit. ugly, definite suspension. seeing gionta and gomez at his waist going "yip! yip! yip!" makes every hockey fan in the world understand how much the habs miss big george right now. (all that said, i like the bruins much, much more than i like the canadiens... and i absolutely love chara...)

Posted by jlmcgui on March 10, 2011 at 05:41 PM

Win for White; bigtime, even if I'm a B's fan; but why can't PK defend himself? Also, why didn't White accept Thornton's challenge and go with a fighter? Sure, you can say it was 4-0 at the time, but if the big team brings you up for one reason? Boychuk ain't a fighter, but will fight to defend himself or his teammates. This is not over, I'm sure that PK will be forced to drop the gloves next game in Boston. There is no way Horton lets PK get out of town without dropping them, and I'd like to see a Thornton-White match. I guess White can buy that house in Montreal, there's no way they can send him back to minors now! And anyone that wants to talk about classless ... how about the booing of Tha National Anthem every game in Montreal .... DISGRACE!!!!!!!

Boychuk and his Bald Spot took that Beating like a Man.

Posted by habs24cups on March 09, 2011 at 12:01 AM

Great showing for White. Cheapshot artist Boychuk missed Subban knee. White asked no question and go for Johnny. Good beat up on Boychuk who is more comfortable and cockier fighting guys like Spacek(non-fighter). Typical Bruins, oh sorry typical Lucy. Big team of cherry pickers, opponent needs to be smaller and non fighter. If not she gets beat. Chara doesn't need that kind of hit to be efficient. Either intentional or real bad decision on his part. If Colin "incompetent" Campbell look at this he will say hey it's the Bruins my little boy team, no suspension. And the NHL cronies will stand up and applaud.

Posted by boldbilly on March 09, 2011 at 03:41 PM

Wow where to begin....... It's a little different for Boychuk when they actually hit back. Let's call this a$$ kicking justified payback for being a coward and fighting Spacek you loser. While we're at it White invited the coward Cambell to go on 3 different occasions but seeing that White can fight and is no Pyatt... he declined the invitation like the scared little pu$sy he is. At the end of the game there was the very classy and brave Lucic willing to take on that noted goon Benoit Pouliot what a chicken sh!t spot picker this guy is. Honourable mention to the avenging hero Horton who wanted to beat up the 20 year old rookie so he could be mentioned on hockey night in Canada by the bigot Don Cherry. All this was just a goon fest by a bunch of classless idiots who lost the fight and the game AND THEY WILL BE OUT IN THE FIRST ROUND OF PLAYOFFS AS USUAL. Chara should get at least 10 games BRUINS AND THEIR CLASSLESS FANS SHOWED EXACTLY WHAT THEY'RE ABOUT BY THEIR DIRTY PLAY AND STUPID POSTS. Oh yeah I'm glad that self serving idiot bigbadbruin22 won't be commenting here anymore because only garbage is more rotten than his comments. If I was a bruin fan I'd be ashamed. OH YEAH HAL29 IS AN IDIOT.

Spirit fight by White

Posted by Spydervoodoo on March 08, 2011 at 10:27 PM

Great Fight. Good move by White to stand up for the trial hit on Subban. Boychuck came back good, but man White tagged him with quite a few! White was tired at the end when Boychuck wanted to still go, but great fight. White even tapped Boychuck at the end. I give it an 8. As for Chara, premeditated for sure, just by the history. I say 5 games. I wish someone would kick his ass, problem is, it's too high!!

Posted by commander on March 09, 2011 at 09:54 AM

Finally!!!....Finally!!! After getting beat up all season long, a Canadian's hockey player has finally won a fight! albeit neither one of these guys will be remembered by the weekend. Chara's hit on Pacioretty didn't look like it was an intent to injure, and all players are instructed to carry out their checks, but the puck had exited Pac's stick and the penalty was justified

Posted by C-7Enforcer on March 09, 2011 at 12:13 AM

Montreal should be fucking ashamed. An AHL call up is the only one with heart. Your player gets run, nothing happens. Where is Mara, Subban, hell even Gil. Cowards, White with the win!!

White wins handily. Not sure what to think of the Chara thing. I am a big Bruins fan, but I think that may be suspension material since Pacioretty had long got rid of the puck. Accident or not we may never know, it was a brutal hit in a chippy game.

Posted by spinard on March 08, 2011 at 09:39 PM

Whiite shows great leadership after a debatable attempt to hit Subban from Boychuk. White instigated and led most of the way....by the way, Chara needs a serious suspension for his hit on Pacioretty, coward hit which will be suspended severely!

boychuck you wuss, got your ass handed to you by some kid with evgeni plushenko hair

Posted by AZfromNJ on March 09, 2011 at 06:35 PM

Good fight, I give it an 8.....both guys are angry and they go at for a good long time. White the definite winner and looks like he stuns Boychuk at both the 15 and 30 sec marks. Nice tilt.

Posted by Habs 3 on March 10, 2011 at 12:48 PM

"BigBadBruins22" way to make your, not sure what it was tho. "BigBadBruins68", when someone knees Cam Neely its a disgrace, even tho he too tried to jump out of the way, but when Boychuk knees Subban, its all of a sudden a Habs move? Look, clearly no one wants to get hit, Boychuk does a good job stepping up and PK being the shifty kind of player, tries to avoid it, the end result looks worse than what it was. And to all the Bruins fans, stop judging White for beating the 7 shades of $hit out of Boychuk because Jonny boy isn't a fighter. Where were your comments when Thornton beat up Hamrlik or Cambell beat up Pyatt .. Boston would get way more respect if you were'nt so hypocritical.

Posted by koolpunch on March 09, 2011 at 08:29 AM

Great effort on both sides, but White gets the win here. Watch for the shampoo endorsements...

Posted by versatik on March 08, 2011 at 11:40 PM

Just remember how boychuk got pleasure to destroy spacek even if he was on the ice like a cheap shot . That was agressive and unfair. Now you have to pay...that is not about the fail hit on p.k subban ...that's about the memories of the last game....Boychuk tryied to show a men last game...now versus real he sucks ! And habs show hockey 101 to Bird Brains Bruins tonight ! Ryan Whit beat his ass up! Sorry my english im french Habs all the way !

Posted by KadrĂ¼H on March 08, 2011 at 10:26 PM

Nice fight, White domination.

Posted by Reg_Dunlop on March 09, 2011 at 03:46 PM

Way to answer the call White! Great tilt, I liked how the Refs let it go a while, and there was no lame take down. Boychuk took a few good shots too and stood his ground. Clear win goes to White.

Posted by Happy2 on March 09, 2011 at 03:23 PM

Johnny I have a visor Boychuck was not fighting a non fighter this time, see the difference... And the result of the game was the same...

Posted by ogie ogiltorpe on March 10, 2011 at 12:13 AM

Boychuk takes a run at Subban and sticks his knee out and White answers the bell....I like Boychuk but don't like how he tucked his visor down ala Mike Richards to protect himself....White wins this hands down, nice to see Habs get some toughness in the line-up to battle the Bruins tactics....now if only Chara was held accountable....Habs should sign Laraque so Chara can hug him to the ice when challenged Thumbs down to BigBadBruin and mmadced LOL Impeach Fight gets an 8 for the hair, punches, and the fury on the faces

Posted by Silky Smith on March 09, 2011 at 09:23 PM

oh look a queefer bruin fighting with a visor and gets FED. where are all the bruin hypocrites now? habs need a few more nice Manitoba middleweights like Ryan to keep the choke bullies honest

Posted by JBar595 on March 09, 2011 at 12:40 PM

Chara has always been a chippy player, watch some of his earlier games, he would beat on guys two heads shorter than himself when they were in a turtle position. He didn't even turn around after the hit to see if the guy was really hurt. He ranks in the top 5% in being a jerk, he could even be Avery's long lost brother.

Posted by vinnygunn on March 09, 2011 at 01:02 AM

as a bruins fan in mtl, I hate to do this, but that white can throw 'em. Boychuck just couldn't get himself set up, even with white's can off. as for the chara hit, I could understand WHY they gave him the misconduct, but i think the league will agree that 2 min would've done the trick. from 5 rows away, that hit looked and sounded 100 times worse than on TV. All the best Patches, as much as i despise your team.

Posted by deuceswild on March 12, 2011 at 08:39 PM

5% of people who voted are blind and as big of a homer as that idiot Jack Edwards. Ryan White with the win.

Posted by johnnyrock555 on March 11, 2011 at 01:20 AM

White came through for himself and his team, well done. He could use some more help though. Next game is going to be brutal.

Posted by WildFan4Life on March 09, 2011 at 08:54 PM

Great Fight. Edge to White

Posted by hit.the.brizz on March 10, 2011 at 10:24 AM

Ryan white sure gutted boychuck on that one. He had it coming cuz that hit on PK was bullsh@#! dear ryan white, keep the fists flyin broski

Posted by bruiseyoureye on March 08, 2011 at 10:54 PM

boychuk got his ass kicked.

Posted by ludwigrock on March 09, 2011 at 03:32 PM

Great fight with White sticking up for PK. I wish PK would drop the gloves because he sure runs his mouth alot. Not in this case but alot of other times. As for the Chara hit, that was a 2 minute interferance penalty. Anyone who thinks he intentionaly pushed the guy into the stantion is crazy. The game is played at too fast a pace for anyone to be able to do that. Just because the guy gets hurt doesn't mean it's a 5 minute major and a game misconduct, especially since it wasn't intentional.

Posted by GSP09 on March 08, 2011 at 10:10 PM

Domination White against Johnnie Boy WOW This guy his not Spacek eh Johnnie. Very cheap shot by The Gorilla Chara , deserve a lenghty suspension for this crap . We knew with the score 4-0 , the cheap shot artists would be coming out. What a disgrace those yellow cowards..

Posted by Makh2o on March 12, 2011 at 11:50 AM

Gotta love that pathetic Boston announcer making it sound like Boychuk was winning the fight... until he eats a few solid rights! hahahaha.

Posted by ced333 on March 09, 2011 at 01:59 PM

good fight by white ,after boychuk try to hurt subban ,good lesson for him :)

Posted by nik24 on March 09, 2011 at 07:40 PM

White wins

Posted by slainte12 on March 09, 2011 at 09:58 AM

Pacioretty vs. Turnbuckle: DOMINATION turnbuckle! Great hit Chara, keep it up. Got to teach the hab-nots that what goes around comes around. Glad to see all the hab-nots sticking up for their lifeless teammate too...nice work guys.

Posted by ned.jakubowski on March 09, 2011 at 03:49 PM

Im a die-hard bruins fan but Boychuk got beat in this one. White got pulled up just to fight. Wouldve been nice to see Subban get bundled

Posted by mbaumann on March 09, 2011 at 02:58 PM

Big Bad Bruin22, your pissed becaue your boy lost. You moron, I'm so glad if you never come back to this site. Chara will be suspended also, you might know something about hockey but know NOTHING about the NHL. Lucic is not in this fight, nor is Thornton, go back to Boston and shut the hell up. Worst part is you bitched about how much closer the fight was than the votrs, but then agreed with everyone else that White won!!!!!!!

Posted by BigBadBruins68 on March 09, 2011 at 10:57 AM

White jumps Boychuk for a bullshit reason. There was nothing wrong with the hit, Subban didn't wanna get hit, so he jumped out of the way. Pretty typical of one of the Habs.

Posted by travist on March 08, 2011 at 10:13 PM

man i wish he hi subban, whie did win...

Posted by BritishRedWing on March 10, 2011 at 07:28 PM

Nice win for White over the idiot (oxymoron, I know) Bruin. Boychuk was shocked a Hab would fight, thought he could get away with some attempted knee shots...Didn't work out for him, eh?

Posted by lobo52 on March 09, 2011 at 09:26 PM

Good thing White did not pick a real fight partner like Thorton!

Posted by Rags4Life on March 09, 2011 at 12:55 PM

Wheres that big mouth now Jack Edwards? I love how they complain about instigators after the fact that a bruin got beat up. Would they be crying had a Bruin laid the beatdown? Big Win White.

Posted by sean.omeara85@g on March 09, 2011 at 12:10 AM

Gill could have fought chara...

Posted by chad420 on March 12, 2011 at 12:00 PM

Edge White

Posted by Spartan2424 on March 16, 2011 at 09:41 PM

Good scrap, Edge White

Posted by kkdowning on March 09, 2011 at 03:05 PM

putting aside all the other stuff in this game and the bad feelings between the teams, nice tilt. good for boychuk for trying to make a play for his team (what would scott stevens have done if he couldn't level people coming up the middle?) and good for white for stepping up if he objected to boychuks' actions. close win for white.

Posted by scavanau on March 08, 2011 at 11:45 PM

Who voted Boychuk???????????

Posted by muskokadangler on March 08, 2011 at 10:50 PM

Ok Close your eyes and listen before ya watch the fight and then watch it I'd like tp PUNCH OUT THAT announcer!!!!!!!

Posted by Langway on March 09, 2011 at 09:38 AM

Boychuck took a beating that he deserved for flying at the legs of an opponent. That's a bullshit thing to do.

Posted by Rick Tocchet on March 10, 2011 at 12:36 AM

Some nice bombs from White. Never heard of the dude but I may remember him.

Posted by low_key on March 09, 2011 at 01:31 PM

So i guess the big crap Bruins are going to try to send White to the hospital on the 24th because he won a fight?

Posted by matt>go habs go on March 09, 2011 at 02:25 PM

@ bigbadbruins22...your a joke bud no one wants you posting your uneducated arrogance anyway so good riddance...you think this was a close to a draw eh? well that shows your hockey IQ as this was all white..I suggest watching it again...second why should anyone fight lucic? He is much bigger than anyone on our team except gill who isn't anywhere near a fighter..people keep bringing up the laraque thing because that was a turning point in his career..if you are going to act like you won the stanley cup after beating komisarek of all people in a fight you better be ready to deal with our heavyweight...if he just got up and skated to the box with a big smile on his face, no problem...the fact he wouldn't answer the bell to laraque but he chases pouliot around is a joke and so hypicritical...who does this guy think he is..does he think he was getting back for pouliots beatdown on krejci...krejci started that fight and pouliot ended it.he also had enough class to skate away and not hit him while he was down...something no one can say the bruins share..your team is full of goons who fight people smaller than them but when it comes time to answer to a legit fighter they refuse..or get beat..well youclearly have half a brain and are a complete idoit to believe that wasn't intentional...price said it best, everyone is aware of where they are on the ice...max didnt even have the puck and chara directed his friggin head into the turnbuckle..watch the reply you fool, watch where chara's hands are..if he hits him with a shoulder cleanly and this happens to max then it's an unfortunent hit but the fact chara knew what he did and didn't even look back after the hit is prove to me he knew what he was doing..and this goon needs to be given the season and playoffs..i'll be the first to say hockey is physical and if you can't take it don't bother putting on your skates but this is a disgusting hit and you bruins have the worse fanbase in the league...i know there are some knowledgable bruins fans but I only ever hear from the idoits..good stay of the board..oneless idoit spewing his uneducated rants..your an embarrasment to the game and your team for defending such nonsense..lol I laugh how you say at the end, "good luck to you all," lmao good luck with what? then you sayhow there are many uneducated on this board..then you say a few...the way you talk reaks of an uneducated little kid...by the way, lucic is the biggest spot picker on the league

Posted by Mighty Atom on March 08, 2011 at 09:31 PM

Win for White ! Boychuk was lucky to have his visor !

Posted by yahtzee on March 09, 2011 at 11:43 AM

How could anybody say Boychuk won the fight? He doesn't even know what hit him, it's a good thing the fight was so good though because Boychuk will be seeing his butt get handed to him on all the sports channels for the next month.

Posted by legend22 on March 09, 2011 at 05:44 PM

this was alot closer than everyone thinks

Posted by BigBadBruin22 on March 10, 2011 at 03:32 AM

Damn you crazy bastards! You wore me down. First off, this is the best site around for viewing fights so I'm not going anywhere. I am however, going to stop reading the posts and just enjoy the fights. I'm not going to respond to the morons that try to act tough and namecall in here, because it is pointless. I'm also done talking about that moron, Laraque. He's done, retired. Give it up. As for Lucic, he's not a fighter, he's way more. He hits, fights, scores and plays with a mean streak like Neely did. Sorry if he bullies your team, without a Laraque to protect you. Lastly, to all of you that said I was wrong, crazy, didn't know hockey, etc...it's too bad I was right! Played hockey my whole life. Played tough, edgy but clean. JUST LIKE CHARA. Nooooo Suspension as I said!!! Now let's get back to hockey and stop whining. Yes, I just posted one last time to say, TOLD YOU SO! Btw, Bruins are still in first place, hmmmm. Go figure. Once again, good luck to the d-bags who come in and post nonsense about the B's because they're Habs fans, and on top of it, know ZERO about hockey and then try to sound tough by namecalling. Real brilliant. A few of u in here are awesome. You know who you are!
