One week into the season? yeah, seems about the right amount of time for Souray to try and break another hand.

Nothing to see here

Posted by kingpintoo on November 08, 2011 at 08:51 PM

not a fight, a draw

Posted by bruins rule on October 14, 2011 at 07:49 AM

should not have been called a fight.

Posted by shawn46 on October 14, 2011 at 10:44 AM

Playin b4 a nice pack house in Dallas I see. More contact before the fight than during... Souray gets the takedown and moves immediately into the mount then hugs and cuddles.... No points awarded for style.. a draw

Posted by slavv on October 15, 2011 at 05:05 PM

No fight, though Souray deserved an ass kicking after his bullshit crosschecks....

Posted by lcarnegie on October 14, 2011 at 01:16 PM

stewert wanting nothing to do with souray there

Posted by mudman55 on October 14, 2011 at 09:25 AM

I didn't see a single punch....Anyone else?

Posted by WmHobbs32 on October 14, 2011 at 07:47 PM

just ask him to go and get it over with

Posted by Jeen-Yus on October 14, 2011 at 11:23 AM

This shouldn't count as a fight. It should go under the *Waste of a whistle column*

Posted by DARCY T on October 14, 2011 at 08:47 AM

too short fight to choose a winner but stewart should be ashamed.he initiates fight, drops gloves and then he bails out.he went down very easily..almost with pleasure....draw and gave it 2

Posted by scorp1on on October 14, 2011 at 11:28 AM

Not really a fight. Draw. Souray not a guy that wants to fight but never backs down around his own net. Reminds me of Terry Carkner.

Posted by hockey450 on October 17, 2011 at 11:15 PM

draw. how can you give souray a win when all he did was fall down on top of stewart.

Posted by Bluetiedown44 on October 15, 2011 at 02:29 AM

Draw, Stewart wrestled down.

Posted by steelheadreid on October 14, 2011 at 09:03 PM

maybe next time they will progress to a slap fight

Posted by LicoriceBiscuit on October 14, 2011 at 11:36 AM

Stewart doesn't like getting the business he shouldn't stand in front of the net. Of I'm a Dallas fan I'm holding my breath when Souray drops the gloves. Good to see Souray still playing with an edge. Awesome

Posted by pepsigenerate on October 14, 2011 at 08:41 AM

crappy fight, they even showed the whole replay...

Like the ''not backing down'' intro, but ... The DZA and DARCY T perfectly sum up my feelings regarding the ''efforts'' of both players in this ''fight?''. Shattenkirk (or, however you spell it) is a great hockey name, along the same lines as Orland Kurtenbach.

Fernben I think your wrong on that one. I doubt Souray was trying to protect his hands. I think it was one of those cases where there was poor balance. I guess you missed the interview where Souray talked about what he was bringing to the stars. He said he wanted to play like his old self. That meant physical, gritty and dropping the gloves. He had surgery last year and is ready to rock!! I thin Souray is one of the best whyen he swings. As much as I hate Montreal he was at his best when playing for them.

Posted by fernben8 on October 14, 2011 at 03:03 PM

I know Souray can fight better than this and it's obvious he was protecting his hands. One more hand fracture would probably spell the the end of his career. Smart conservative fight Shelie ! We know you can take care of business...you have nothing to prove.

They had been chippy for a while. Good signing for the Stars so far.

Souray lands the only punch and wins the wrestling match

Posted by Double Nickels on October 15, 2011 at 07:49 AM

I didn't really care that Souray was not in the league, but it is nice to see him back. He will fight every once in a while and we will get some highlight goals when he gets torched one-on-one.

Big boys-small fight, but win for Souray

Posted by dc2swhill on October 23, 2011 at 12:39 PM

Blues went from the best fightin team to worst in one season.

Posted by ironface on October 14, 2011 at 07:56 PM

A less than inspiring bout by two guys who can throw them when the opportunity arises. Souray lands the only real punch reminding everyone that he was once known as a hard a** defender early in his career, long before he learned to score....

Posted by staceyb on October 15, 2011 at 07:18 AM

Souray got a two minute high stick along with the five minute fighting major but that was clearly a crosscheck to the back of Stewart. The fight ended faster than it started with Souray on top.

Posted by rocky 1 on October 14, 2011 at 08:27 PM

Souray is a beast and wrestles Stewart to the ground easily so win Souray!

Posted by FightsOfHockey on October 14, 2011 at 11:38 PM

Souray wins a crap tilt

Posted by cigaros on October 15, 2011 at 10:40 PM

Souray showed how much smarter he is than Stewart. Love seeing smart hockey being played.

Posted by Carcillo on October 14, 2011 at 10:57 AM

Double cross-checking for Souray more then the fight

Posted by oilersfansylvan on October 16, 2011 at 11:02 AM

Clear win for Chris, LOLOLOL.....Sheldon WHO.....oh that injury prone whiner......vaguely remember him.....

this isn't a fight...just roughing...

Posted by mike hartman on October 16, 2011 at 08:36 AM

not much of a fight but it's good to see a scrap on a powerplay for a change. Souray's doing it all this so far this year, he's even a plus 4. Not bad for a minor leaguer.

Posted by kkdowning on October 14, 2011 at 03:46 PM

either Souray is stronger than I thought (Stewart is a beast), or Stewart really didn't feel like fighting. Souray with the win for at least sort of throwing a punch

Posted by chad420 on October 20, 2011 at 02:16 PM

win Souray..kinda,sorta,maybe

Posted by pvdrummer2000 on March 09, 2015 at 01:33 AM

Stew loses his footing and doesn't recover and Souray smartly takes advantage of the situation.
