wow, that sucked. what an awful fight.

Draw. Sutton may lead the league in fights all while trying to lock out his left and not punch or more importantly get punched

Ya Know it kinda looked like Sutton knew the hit was questionable so he didn't give it to Obrien !!!??? Cause to me he looked like he coulda opened up on him and chose not to

Sutton is really dull to watch.

what the hell was that? simultaneous narcolepsy?

Bettman and the puzzies in the League are gonna turn Hockey into soccer on skates. Who do they think will watch that crap? They will have to relocate all of the franchises to San Francisco. Sutton is a big guy. Shoulder to head...no penalty. No elbow. Skate with your freaking head up. I started learning that when I was 6.

Crap fest

Posted by Behn Wilson on October 29, 2011 at 01:34 AM

Had he actually decided to play the puck, that could have been the hit of the year. The resulting, non-fight pitted...Sutton's ''fear-based'' use of reach, against O'Brien's ''Stortini-like'', ''Vorosian'' incapability.

Don't like to see those kind of hits, do not think it was necessary, but I do not think Sutton was going for his head, the height difference made it look worse than it was, BUT as I said not sure it was a necessary play on Suttons part and put him out of position on the play...

Sutton is a tool! Another cheap head shot. He's gotta be the worst 8-foot tall fighter I''ve ever seen....

good run by Sutton at the Euro lady

Posted by JethroGilles on October 29, 2011 at 09:44 AM

That was not an elbow and the kid should learn in the NHL you keep your head up... this should not be a suspension

very similar to fight sutton had with prust couple days ago...draw,3

Posted by mrunohoo on October 30, 2011 at 03:15 PM

Suh-spended.

gave this a draw.

Posted by Gruvn on October 29, 2011 at 12:35 AM

Nothing to see here. Move along.

Posted by fernben8 on October 29, 2011 at 10:41 AM

Qustionable attempt on the hit... Sutton takes advantage of his size by straight arming O'Brien away, Yet, O'Bien couldn't figure out how to get inside. Solution : To watch Thornton's clinic ( his last 2 fights). Going Draw.

Lame fight.

Posted by staceyb on October 29, 2011 at 07:18 AM

O'Brien doing what he is paid to do--look out for the young Avs studs like Landeskog--and fights to a draw against Sutton. They looked like two big pieces of beef bouncing around in a slaughterhouse.

I think Andy Sutton might be sitting a few games...

Posted by FightsOfHockey on October 29, 2011 at 02:50 AM

not much going on, sutton is too tall

Posted by ocrage on October 29, 2011 at 03:02 AM

ouch, principle point of contact = head. sutton = 3-5 game suspension unless he's a previous offender. not a good move. why headshot an 18/19 year old rookie?

Posted by zonahockeyfan on November 03, 2011 at 01:01 AM

Sutton held back big time

This scrap was all andy sutton. Sutton creamed obrien and kicked his ass all over the ice.

Classic examples of knowing how to protect yourself (Sutton) and not (Ladyskog)

Posted by johnnyrock555 on October 29, 2011 at 04:02 PM

That will be a suspension for Sutton. Sutton should have squared off with O'Brien there, after that hit it was the least he could do. Bad form Andy, bad form. Win to O'Brien for being the man.

Posted by Bosoxshute on October 29, 2011 at 10:13 AM

Good to see O'Brien come to Landeskog's defense. Sutton needs to be suspended for that hit.

Posted by thebigbea55 on October 29, 2011 at 12:10 PM

sutton gotta be one of the worst fighter for his size.. same as hal gill but at least he's not known as a fighter.. at least obrien tries to fight but the reach is too much for him..

Posted by ToughGuyWayne on October 29, 2011 at 01:12 AM

In terms of fighting skill, Sutton reminds me of Hal Gill.
