poor ole Nokelaine gets leveled then punched out

Posted by bruiser11 on November 19, 2011 at 11:02 PM

No Nokelaninen. Deveaux sucks. Same guy that turtled on Mirasty one time.

Posted by KO22 on November 19, 2011 at 10:34 PM

How does Deveaux look in the mirror at night? Yet again he avoids fighters and fights a Euro. I have no respect for the guy, he's a classless piece of garbage.

Posted by workthejab on March 15, 2012 at 10:51 AM

Deveaux takes a page out of Sean Avery's new book "How to be a super-douche". Noki tries to stand up for himself, which ends up pretty much how you would expect it to. To be fair to Deveaux...not that he deserves it, he didn't request the fight with Noki, he just wanted to blind-side him and skate away.

Deveaux must have gone to the Kevin Bieksa school of hockey fighting. He looks like John Belushi. Andre Deveaux you have no grade point average.

Deveaux should have been suspended for this hit, where was Shanny on this one. Head first into the boards. I am not impressed with Deveaux win in this fight considering he concussed his opponent with the board before the fight started.

win deveaux in mismatch but i like nikelainen.he's tough and got balls for being skilled euro player playing with habs i agree with that announcer.he hit him from aside

Posted by hal29 on November 22, 2011 at 11:48 PM

Cheap hit by Deveaux, typical of him. Noke did the right thing by sticking up for himself. Not much of a fighter but tons of heart. Deveaux well he is just a dirt bag and belongs in the minors.

Posted by boldbilly on November 20, 2011 at 10:35 AM

There should be no extra fines or suspension here. The right call was made. Nokelainen made an ill advised choice to retalliate and got his a$$ handed to him. For the record some of the people here should not make fun of the fact that he got his a$$ kicked.....the truth is it takes great courage to stand up for yourself when you already know the out come. IMAGINE IF LUCIC WOULD HAVE BEEN HALF AS BRAVE WHEN LARAQUE CALLED HIM OUT......PEOPLE WOULD HAVE A LOT MORE RESPECT FOR HIM INSTEAD OF THINKING OF HIM as a pu$$y. REALLY THINK ABOUT IT BOSTON FANS FOR ONE MINUTE.....AFTER ALL HE IS A BOXER.......NOPE NOKELAINEN HAS MORE GUTS THAN LUCIC SORRY JUST THE FACTS.. OH BYE THE WAY IF SHANAHAN SUSPENDS DEVEAUX IT JUST PROVES THAT BOSTON GETS SPECIAL TREATMENT......BECAUSE IF THIS IS A SUSPENDABLE ACT HOW DO YOU EXPLAIN THE MILLER HIT AS NOT......ALSO IT SHOULD BE NOTED IN CASE NOBODY HERE IS AWARE....BOSTON'S OWNER IS ON THE BOARD OF GOUVERNOR'S.............HMMMMMMMM....... WAY TO GO SHANNY.

Step one Pete.... Learn how to take of gloves..... Step two... leave the fightin to someone else.. "Nokelainen isn't a fighter but he is a tough kid..." Yeah he can take a crushing hit and get his Ace whipped in consecutive acts....

Posted by Double Nickels on November 21, 2011 at 11:39 AM

Mad props for Nokelainen. I recommend dropping the gloves next time, but nice effort and mad respect for getting after it.

Posted by mudman55 on November 22, 2011 at 10:11 AM

Deveaux is a waste of humanity. Nokie can't fight, but he does throw the body around a bit.

Posted by moramike on November 20, 2011 at 01:56 PM

Not only do the stRangers lead the league in fights, they lead the league on fighting guys who don't fight. Will "tough" guys like Deveaux and Avery ever fight someone who actually has been in a fight before? On the rare occasion that they do find themselves in that unfortunate situation they do the hug and hold or "slip" so that the fight ends before they can get pummeled. Wussiies.

Haha. Finnish name humor. Me likey. Posted by arrows80 on Nov 19, 2011 at 9:46 PM Nokelainen should nobefightin'.

Posted by bhamill on November 21, 2011 at 11:50 AM

Deveaux with a clear win. I thought the hit was clean, but understand the penalty. Noke went after Deveaux, not the other way around, and the Rangers were being murdered on the scoreboard, frustration is high, so give it a rest. And give the "doesn't fight fighters" thing a rest too, he recently fought Parros and did just fine in a loss. Big deal it was a fight, nobody died.

Major league mismatch.

Posted by Behn Wilson on November 19, 2011 at 11:27 PM

Deveaux finally draws the right oppenent, as he destroys noted ''Habs' enforcer'', Nokelainen, with his shoulder, and then, with his fists. .

Posted by billy jack on November 19, 2011 at 11:15 PM

andre looked like he was beating up a drunken street rubby.

Posted by hughcares on November 20, 2011 at 09:01 AM

Great job by Deveaux. Beautiful hit and then beat the crap out of the chump who for a few seconds thought he was tough. Teams like Montreal who decide to go with a line-up full of p*ssies deserve exactly what happenned.

Deveaux "Well. the Elephant Man was dead, and he's all that was left!!!" Mrs Lindy Ruff

Posted by TommyGun29 on November 20, 2011 at 08:20 PM

Real cheap hit! Deveax is a disgrace! Can't beat any real fighters so he runs a euro and then pounds on him! The game doesn't need goofs like him. He wouldn't have done that if there was anybody on the Habs that could fight. Bring back Georges!

all deveaux here

TKO! Deveaux

Posted by Joceron on November 20, 2011 at 12:07 AM

Hit wasn't as bad as it looked, Nokelainen was moving forward and almost had the puck. Not much Deveaux could do but continue the assault as Nokelainen decided to go after him; totally one sided. Deveaux and a 6 for at least 3 real clean shots. K022, the guy has little more than cup of coffee in the NHL, and I know you can search when he was up at the NHL level for a decent amount of time, he had bouts with Thornton, Barch (2), Cote, Jackman and one this year vs Parros. Don't embarrass yourself.

The FIn tried to beat the Frog to death with his face....ouch!

Posted by DarkDisciple on November 28, 2011 at 07:10 PM

As a Habs fan I cant wait for Martin to be fired so this team can add a little muscle. Even with that said Andre Deveaux is nothing more then a gutless coward...it is pretty easy to win a fight when you pick on a lady bing candidate that wont throw a punch!

Posted by cppalermo on December 07, 2011 at 04:48 PM

Joke this was a beatdown!

Posted by arrows80 on November 19, 2011 at 10:46 PM

Nokelainen should nobefightin'.

Posted by hockeyherman on November 19, 2011 at 10:26 PM

This play is the exact reason why the Habs need a tough guy! No way should a guy like Nokelainen need to stand up for himself after a hit like this!

Posted by Oil Can Henry on November 20, 2011 at 01:46 AM

...Why is that a boarding call? Nothing wrong with that hit! Deveaux gets the penalty ( plus a possible fine and suspension? ) because the other guy can't keep his balance? The NHL's turning into a joke -- ALL physical-play will SOON be ELIMINATED,.......you can see it coming,.....

Posted by kkdowning on November 20, 2011 at 01:57 PM

agree with the announcers -- Nokelainen is not a fighter. If you can't beat Montreal on the scorebaord you can always beat them up.

Posted by Big_Fat_Dan on November 21, 2011 at 01:43 AM

Nice work from Deveaux here. Darche tried to get in there but it looked like Nokelainen wanted Deveaux for himself and he got schooled.
