Assian is a low-class AHL goon. Wild brings him up to "push-back" after getting their @ss kicked by Oilers the last game. Don't think Wild will keep him long since no more Oiler games and him taking a roster spot for three minutes of ice time. And celebrating?......what an embarassment.

@BigBadBruins22 you're an a$$hole like all the other Bruin fans on here. Why are you talking about Lucic when this is about Kassian/Hordichuk? Sure, Lucic is a decent fighter but certainly not even close to being in the top 10 in the league. Instead of telling everyone else to get a clue, you need to get a life.

Posted by Custombreaks on January 01, 2012 at 03:40 AM

Kassian fights like the refs are on his side...what a dummy thinkin he's a Bruin

Posted by bruiser11 on December 30, 2011 at 12:25 AM

Hordichuk got edged both times by Kassian.

Posted by bruins rule on December 30, 2011 at 09:25 PM

kassian gets the win in this fight.

Posted by Pitbull05 on December 30, 2011 at 05:46 AM

Kassian dominated both fights, with his physical advantages size & height this should of been the only outcome anyway? WTF is with the celebration.... Can't wait to see him left on his backside with someone fist pumping on there way back to the penalty box for good effect!!

Posted by The DZA on December 30, 2011 at 11:12 AM

Theo Huxtable had mad b-boy dance skills that flew under the radar. Something straight outta Beat Street.

Decent fight. Edge Kassian. Craigers, do you really believe Lucic was afraid of Laraque? It had nothing to do with the fact that Lucic can actually play some hockey and Laraque was an over the hill goon at that point? Lucic has fought Ivanans, Carkner, Orr, Rosehill, Erskine, the late Boogeyman in the minors, but after all these hard punching heavies, he was afraid to fight an aging Laraque who would throw noogie punches at the back of his head and wrestle him to the ice. Please, get a clue. Everyone knows that Laraque was going to waste his night chasing around Lucic and be even more useless than usual on the ice....and Coach Julien TOLD Lucic not to fight Laraque and try to draw penalties. Lucic is going to fight Orr and Erskine, two of the hardest punchers in hockey, but run in cowardice from Laraque? Get a clue, or at least come up with better fiction. Lucic isn't going to beat every tough guy in hockey, nor will he even fight every one cause that's not his role on this team, but he'll beat the majority of those stupid enough to challenge him, when the time is right...like a gutless puke such as Komarsarik who chased him around acting tough only to eat knuckles. I try to ignore the stupidity in here, buts it's too hard! So many jealous whiners! Just watch the fights and call em as they are, and for Christ's sake, know your shit! Lol

Posted by Joceron on December 31, 2011 at 09:59 PM

There's brave and theres stupid, I give you credit for knowing which one this is for Darcy....

Posted by luckyfoot15 on December 30, 2011 at 10:07 PM

Props to Hordichuck for his aggression. He left Kassian with a bloody nose on this one, so I'm giving him the win. Kassian muscled Hordichuck down at the end. That's not a victory. The victor already drew blood.

Posted by shrk33 on December 30, 2011 at 07:35 PM

Tough to take on a guy with that size. Another easy win for Kassian.

Posted by riffraff on December 30, 2011 at 12:38 AM

win kass but those celebs are laaaaaaaame. hordi more balls in two 10 second scraps than eager has in his whole fight career.

Posted by mr hockey on December 30, 2011 at 09:49 AM

whats with all the celebration ? you beat a man smaller than you , where were you when john scott just played you guys ? you only played 2 minutes? and your celebrating? i hope you got a little more game in you than that

Posted by Santokh_Gill on December 29, 2011 at 11:26 PM

hordichuk bloodied his nose at least , but size & reach was the winner here , but there's always next time ..

Posted by Jointman on December 30, 2011 at 04:57 AM

Im sure Chara will teach Kassian how to behave :) once but in this fights it was all Kass. I just dont like the gestures after..

Posted by Behn Wilson on December 30, 2011 at 05:16 AM

2 dominant losses, and yet, somehow, I end up being a bigger Hordichuk fan than I was before the beatings ensued.. I get the feeling that, in the, not to distant, future Kassian's post-fight, celebration is going to come back to bite him in the ass.

Posted by DARCY T on December 30, 2011 at 03:12 AM

not many punches landed in a short bout.edge kassian....he really is annoying with his stupid celebration.

Posted by LicoriceBiscuit on December 30, 2011 at 04:50 PM

Sure Kassian wins but looks like a tool with the celebration towards the box. Why the hell doesn't Eager fight Kassian? He is closer to his size…oh yeah because Eager is a spot picking twat.

Posted by OriginalSix on January 01, 2012 at 01:25 PM

Kassian is just too big for Hordi but damn is he ever game. Another clear WIN for Kassian.

Posted by Sasky001 on December 31, 2011 at 12:28 AM

Like his team, Hordichuk peaked two weeks into the season.

Posted by Franchise on December 30, 2011 at 12:31 PM

I love how people want to rip Kass for only being called up yet celebrating. I guess it is short term memory loss what he did when he was called up last year too. After the league not taking action for 3the Wild players getting boarded in the last 2 weeks, its time to bring up the next Boogieman. Thank god.

Posted by sporr on December 30, 2011 at 02:47 PM

I've alwasy respected Hordi but perhaps he has Alzheimer's and can't remeber the last period!

Posted by tkidu on December 29, 2011 at 10:52 PM

Poor Hordy. Go after smaller foes.

Posted by Double Nickels on December 31, 2011 at 06:03 AM

Hordi was KO'd at birth, but I'm pretty sure he went out here again

Posted by NMBbob on December 30, 2011 at 09:29 AM

Kassian win for fight-classless for after fight antics, both times-when he gets his clock rung,i hope whoever does it stands over him and taunts the he## out of him- But,he IS one big dude!!!!

Posted by FightsOfHockey on December 29, 2011 at 10:49 PM

Hordichuk was better here but Kassian weighs 250lbs and gets the slight edge in this fight

Posted by ronreddog on December 29, 2011 at 10:50 PM

2 for 2 for Kassian!

Posted by jemihami on December 29, 2011 at 11:22 PM

I still think Hordi has the heart of a warrior and I take him on my team any day. That being said, you'll notice he doesn't have elbow pads on so he was anticipating an fight to open the period ... and that's a no-no. I also agree with the Peckham comment. He acts tough, plays dirty, but seldom fights unless he thinks he can get the jump.

Posted by tyrone on December 30, 2011 at 12:08 PM

Same results. CAn someone tell me if that is Edmontons best? I thought Eager is their toughest?

Posted by jbaker3924 on December 29, 2011 at 10:54 PM

Clear win Kassian again.

Posted by DMM on December 31, 2011 at 10:11 AM

Thank you sir may I have another. Props to Hordy...but...you mess with the bull you get the horns

Posted by staceyb on December 30, 2011 at 05:37 AM

Kassian got number one star of the game for all of 2:12 TOI and six shifts. He reminds me of a slightly smaller version of John Scott, similar punching style. Renney wanted to put a charge in his troops with Hordy and Eager on the ice to open the third period. I can't imagine Ben really wanted to go with Staubitz but that is about all he is good for.

Posted by rocky 1 on December 31, 2011 at 06:18 PM

Kassian again gets Darcy off balance and knocks him down for the win again!

Posted by The Gaffer on December 30, 2011 at 08:18 AM

Gotta like the ultra slow mo of the decisive shots, some networks will shy away from even showing replay of fights! Win Kassian, celebrations are weak and uncalled for. Would like to see Kassian Vs Scott think they would match up pretty well and likely end up with Kass on his @ss, take him down a notch or two

Posted by slavv on December 30, 2011 at 05:49 PM

Another fight but same result; Kassian dominant. As for the moronic commentators who know nothing about fighting, that last right by Kassian DID connect behind Horichuk's ear. That spot will drop anybody....

Posted by sedinfan on December 30, 2011 at 12:09 AM

Kassian looked like he was hanging on to a child the way he was throwing him around there on the replay. I think you better stay away from guys way bigger than you Mr. Hordichuk, those didn't go well if you hadn't noticed.

Posted by TommyGun29 on December 30, 2011 at 12:39 PM

Kassian is a beast! I really thought Hordi would have faired better in round 2 but not so. Did I miss something or did DH start that period without elbow pads?

Posted by mudman55 on December 31, 2011 at 06:41 AM

Good scrap, edge Kassian. But these victory celebrations need to go. This ain't UFC or WWE- act like you've been there before. I don't mind imploring the crowd to get loud- that's one of the purposes of a scrap....But don't celebrate a la Kassian here.

Posted by ISYSpanther on December 30, 2011 at 02:56 PM

Better than Round 1, but Kassian still took out the trash. There were a few other players more deserving of a butt whooping, but I guess they didn't want to fight. Maybe they sent Hordichuk in there for them? You know, sacrificial lamb and all that. I find it funny that people are crapping on Kassian for celebrating after winning a fight. After watching hundreds of fights on this site, I think I saw maybe 2 fights where the winner did not celebrate. Why aren't any of you crapping on them for celebrating? If you win a fight, you celebrate. Certainly a Wild tradition. Boogaard started it.

Posted by treeShaker13 on December 30, 2011 at 12:10 AM

Hordichuk is a sorry excuse for a hockey player. He dives and falls trying to draw penalties and deserved to get his shit pushed it. We might as well call him the 3rd sedin brother Too bad he didn't learn his lesson the first time He is lucky the Wild and oilers dont play anymore because I am sure Clutterbuck wouldn't mind beating on him. F u kk all you Oilers fans Hordichuk is just as bad for the NHL as Todd Bertuzzi is !!

Posted by Jaxman2002 on December 30, 2011 at 12:25 PM

Why is Hordy fighting a guy that much bigger and longer than him. I give him credit but is he lucky he didn't get seriously hurt. Much respect for Hordy but be careful for what you wish for.

Posted by craigers on December 30, 2011 at 01:31 AM

At least Darcy Hordichuk has guts. So many of these wanna be tough guys are just pretenders. Hordi is a true tough guy who won't back down from anybody. Remember when Lucic showboated after beating up Komisarek and ran from Laraques like a scared little boy??

Posted by billy jack on December 30, 2011 at 08:29 PM

darcy is old in nhl heavy terms,he shouldn't be going with young thirsty trees.but you gotta do it,i suspect kassian was wanting it in honor of the boogie man.

Posted by Jmoy on December 30, 2011 at 09:07 AM

Kassian all the way. For all you guys getting on to Kassian for his post fight celebration, you need to understand the situation. Besides it being a very physical and emotional game, the Wild have had a several guys run in to the boards lately and injuried without any punishment coming from the NHL so they really needed an enforcerer to help out. They called up Kassian yesterday for this exact purpose. He swung the energy to Minnesota both times and in the end was voted #1 star of the game. That is how important those fights were to the Wild so his knockdowns were almost as important as goals.

Posted by Willy WILL on December 31, 2011 at 11:56 AM

Knockdown for Kassian, Win Kassian. Good fight!

Posted by zack82102 on December 30, 2011 at 01:30 PM

I like Kassian , I hope they keep him up because he brings a lot of energy, He is a big boy and other then Staubitz the wild have no real enforcers. Don't get me wrong they have some good middleweights and who in there rights mind gave these fights to hordichuk, Kassian whooped his butt in both.

Posted by GreatMurray on December 30, 2011 at 08:00 AM

Hordy doesn't catch any. He just gets run over again. Needs a new plan for a guy this big. Easy win for Kassian. As for Lucic turning down Laraque...he did. Hordi didn't. A lot of other guys didn't. Lucic has a rep for fighting lesser lights. Sooner or later he'll get caught out there with a Mcintyre or even an Engelland and have to go. He might even win. But until then he has earned his rep. You Boston Homers have been drinking too much of Jack Edwards' Grog! I love the way the Bruins are playing hockey right now. But the folks posting here are really out there. A close win turns into a bear mauling. A loss is because the other guy was dirty or something. The propensity for trying to get the Euro-weenies to fight is too obvious. The Bruins are playing tough, old fashioned hockey. They mix just enough toughness and dirty play...I love it. I trade half of the Red Wings and most of the Lightning for Marchant and Lucic. I went to the TBAY/MONTREAL game last night...I didn't know that you could play soccer on ice. I have never seen a hockey game with less physical play. I'll take the Bruins every time.

Posted by SilverSliver on December 30, 2011 at 11:01 AM

I can almost hear the pre-fight talk. Hordi-"Ok Kass, this will be are third fight and third times the charm. I am tough and fast!" Kass-"Really dude?!?! You want me to spank you again! Not a problem" :-) Who the heck voted for Hordichuk?!?!

Posted by FinnMcCool on December 30, 2011 at 10:01 AM

Edge Kassian, but props to Hordichuk for going a second round. Looks like that hit to the back of Hordichuks neck knocked him out cold. Was that Kassian at the end of the video with the bloody nose?

Posted by chbstr44 on December 30, 2011 at 02:28 AM

Short Bout no real connections

Posted by guvsplace on December 30, 2011 at 02:43 PM

Hordichuk's career is over. #milkhotdogs

Posted by brianamoro on December 30, 2011 at 09:05 AM

LMAO @ Hordichuk, way to fire up the team by getting absolutely pasted hahaha

Posted by Haleskii on December 29, 2011 at 10:55 PM

2nd bout for these two.....second dominating Kassian victory. At least Hordichuk will drop em...it's funny how much of a pansy, cheap @ss Peckham is...what a clown.

Posted by ghjkfdhgfd on December 29, 2011 at 11:04 PM

Hordi does a lil better, but still ends on his ass.

Posted by Reg Dunlap on December 29, 2011 at 11:49 PM

I was at the game. Kassian dominated both fights. Hordichuk was obviously embarassed about the first fight and wanted to try to redeem himself by going again. Bad decision.

Posted by travist on December 30, 2011 at 02:26 AM

hordi is now 0-3, even without his elbow pads.

Posted by Oil Can Henry on December 30, 2011 at 12:04 AM

Kass with another win, he got the wild PUMPED!!!

Posted by muskokadangler on December 29, 2011 at 11:23 PM

Kassian is an ASS and I look forward to someone teaching the boy a lesson

Posted by FHgrad99 on January 01, 2012 at 07:09 PM

I guess Hordichuk didn't learn his lesson from the beating he took from Kassian earlier in the game because he got dominated again. For his sake, I hope he doesn't try to fight Kassian again when these two teams meet.

Posted by chad420 on December 30, 2011 at 01:26 PM

Kassian with another win and another "Hop-along Cassidy"...great job on his call-up....notice the wild also broke their winless streak

Posted by kkdowning on December 30, 2011 at 09:39 AM

ahh, please stop with the celebration. you won 2, but you just got called up

Posted by CloweStaubi on December 29, 2011 at 10:58 PM

i think kassian may have hit a pressure point in the back of the neck of Hordi which is why he went down... Decisive win Kassian who's probably playing in only his 3rd game this season

Posted by puckstopper30 on December 29, 2011 at 11:55 PM

Darcy got beat up again...kaissian should stop whooping it up....no class.

Posted by BoogeyRocks on January 17, 2012 at 05:04 PM

Man I wish Kassian would stick with the club. He's fun to watch. Domination.

Posted by samtheman on December 29, 2011 at 11:07 PM

Bad decision for Darcy to drop them with Kassian the first time. Pure stupidity to try it again. Maybe he can get Kassian to agree to tie one hand behind his back for the next one.

Posted by Boogeyman2383 on December 30, 2011 at 12:16 PM

Another Win for Kassian

Posted by Glad21 on January 03, 2012 at 05:06 PM

Matt kassian is a beast and deserves to be in the lineup every night
