A non fight for a late hit. Just protecting your Captain. The idea here is to evaluate a fight, not whether you like the players/team. Would imagine most of the people making these stupid comments would lose to their own shadow. But like it or not, this is playoff hockey 2012 style or a remake of "Slap Shot". R.I.P.

The hit wasn't the slightest bit late. Half second after the pass out at most. Don't look at the slow motion shot for the time. Look at the real time. There is a reason why players typically don't spend a lot of time finessing passes behind themselves along the side boards and there is another reason why they don't typically casually turn around into god-knows-what after doing so. Maybe Sedin forgot this was the NHL for a moment. The wrestling match afterwards was a draw.

It seems like some of the brightest people come to this site to comment. Yes it was a clean hit, but if Brown is as tough as you guys say he is then why would he not fight Bieksa or Burrows? I don't like it when a player has to answer for a clean hit, but when the player he hit is the other team's captain he should answer. Says a lot about Brown as a captain if he let's Kopitar fight his battles for him. As for the fight, this was as much as a fight as Crosby and Giroux's fight.

Good playoff hit....a tick to late in my mind. That said I hate everything the Canucks do.......they let Sedin get blown up and their response send a guy to on Brown for a piggy back ride.....lame gutless team.

This was a non event. The "fight that wasn't". Kopitar's only mistake was dropping his gloves. Otherwise there's not even 5 called for fighting.

It is insane to even think 3 is legal. The Rome on Horton was 2 Mississippi, confirmed as 1 second late and cost 4 games in the Finals. Stuart on Johansson or Lapierre on Nichol 2 Mississippi NHL labeled late.

kopitar is 6'5- 230 and just got taken down by burrows.

Only reason Brown didnt get suspended on that play is because henrik can take a hit better than anyone and comes right back into the game. That being said, Burrows gets the win in this fight. Lands the only punches on Kopi who bear hugs him until Burrows knocks him down. Dirty hit regardless of whether he was punished for it or not. Brown's jersey just doesnt say "Torres" on the back and has the 'C' so he gets away with it.

Burrows was the only one trying to do anything so he gets the win. I'm not a Canucks fan but I don't blame Vancouver for trying to burn their city down with the one-sided officiating against them since last years playoffs. Speaking of officiating, this has been the worst playoffs or whole season for that matter that I have ever seen. The players have no idea what they can or can't do. Certain teams are clearly favored and there is no consistancy in disciplinary actions whatsoever. I hate to say it but the NHL has lowered itself to the NBA level.

Clean hit by Brown, canucks reacting because they don't like when either of the twin sisters gets hit. Burrows the biter didn't even fight, they were spinning and went to the ice. This was a non-fight. Win to Brown for a good hockey hit.

Burrows did the right thing, but screwed himself over forever with his actions last year. He could save an entire orphanage as it was burning down, he'd still be condemned for his actions. It is a draw, but I can see why people are voting for Kopitar.

Hit was perfectly clean, and even the Nuck saclickers around here know it. Have to give the win to Kopitar, since Brown could take both Bitchka and Alexandria at the same time with one arm tied behind his back. Hell, Murray Hall could.

I agree...Brown should get the win. The announcers are terrible. That was a perfectly clean hit. Brutal, but clean. Sedin turned right into it. Burrows is a weasel. Sedin is going to need counseling to help him get over the nightmares of Brown crushing him.

Hugfest. God, I so wanted to see Burroughs get his head handed to him, but just didn't happen.

Brown had enough of a run that if he had accelerated at *all*, he would have gotten 2 for charging and might have gotten it anyway. If he came from that far away on a cross-ice vector, and laid the same hit on Sedin, it would have sent Sedin into the bench and been slapped with a solid 5 minute major for boarding. Most damning, changing nothing else, had he changed his angle just a little, he can easily come away with the puck, intercepting Sedin's pass, so it clearly wasn't his intent to dislodge the puck from Sedin. Everything about it screams Brown simply wasn't playing Hockey when he made the hit. The rules should be enforcing that point. If they aren't, something's wrong.

WWE stuff...save it for Monday...no fight. Vancouver's done...no answer for physicality is killing them.
