Nolan got the better shots in. I didn't care for Souray's last little pop when Nolan was down.

Posted by bammer24 on February 26, 2013 at 04:08 AM

Souray showing some mothballs effect in his fighting skills as Nolan tells him to" wake up old man if your gonna slash me with your cane" .Though Nolan could lose the visor.Souray could have done without that last cheap punch. THIS NOW THE 288 TH FIGHTING MAJOR OF THE NHL SEASON 35 DAYS.2013.DIVISION PLAY ONLY -RECORD BREAKING SEASON IN YEARS .MORE MISCONDUCTS EVER IN HISTORY IN 35 DAYS AND INSTIGATOR CALLS.

Souray finds out the hard way that Nolan can go south paw What happened to Ted Nolan anyway?

Posted by Arkie without h on February 28, 2013 at 09:53 PM

Souray should stick to loving his diva girlfriend and not fight

Posted by Bob Probert 24 on February 28, 2013 at 07:27 AM

Que Souray Souray...whatever will be, will be...Hang em up Sheldon....you're done. Michael Jordan, Nolan Ryan, Ryan's Hope, Meg Ryan...all would have done him in. Bye Bye, now.

Posted by Nystrom_23 on February 26, 2013 at 02:22 PM

Although nothing major seems to have landed, Nolan controlled the bout. Demerits to Souray for that little poke after the fight was over. Shows Sheldon also thought he got bested.

Sacre Bleu! How "gauche" throwing all those lefts!

Posted by Custombreaks on February 27, 2013 at 10:04 PM

Nolan swings like a girl. He'd make a good Bruin.

Posted by Bakes923 on February 26, 2013 at 08:16 PM

Souray might have landed one early, but the kid came on late, win to Nolan!!

Posted by JohnnyI on February 28, 2013 at 10:58 PM

Fist, not wrist Jordy!

Posted by bjd on February 27, 2013 at 01:22 AM

tired of wanna be tough guys fighting with shields on. how can you rate a fight when 1 player starts with a big disadvantage. nolan swings away while souray has to worry about getting nolans helmet off or swinging at a sheild

Posted by DARCY T on February 26, 2013 at 03:58 PM

souray early, then he missed with his left.that threw him out of balance and he was in trouble immidiatelly.nolan controlled the fight since that moment

Posted by von_swine on February 26, 2013 at 04:55 AM

I love the slash on the hands and the look that ensues,.. Sheldon is a vet and has always been REAL good w/the gloves off but he got handled by Jordan in this one,.. always a Kings fan and I love Nolan, but really wish he'd lose the visor... still, Nolan and the 'First Nation' rip Souray's heart out and stomp it on the ice... #71 FTW.

Posted by 2001GT on February 27, 2013 at 12:07 PM

Nice to see Souray eat a few. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

Posted by HerbRaglan on February 26, 2013 at 12:26 AM

nolan unloaded a few good lefts again, souray didn't do much except after nolan was already on the ice.

Posted by SOCALFAN on February 28, 2013 at 02:44 PM

This is why Anaheim needs to find an enforcer.

Posted by nuckles88 on February 26, 2013 at 12:16 AM

Nolan is a beast. Souray early, nolan late. Souray was hurt but tried to hang on at the end. Win Nolan

Posted by fernben8 on February 26, 2013 at 12:42 PM

I think Souray got tagged on the second or third punch and he never got to recover from it... This is Souray's worst beating I can remember. As much as I like Souray (ex-Hab), I'm also starting to become a Jordan Nolan fan, The lad can fight but more impressive for me is how he conducts himself afterwards. Gets the job done and humbly goes to the box...no extras. Looks like a respectful kid.

Posted by sedinfan on February 26, 2013 at 12:56 AM

Souray is usually a very tough customer even though he doesn't fight that often, surprised Nolan came back so strong for the win.

Posted by GreatMurray on February 26, 2013 at 08:31 AM

All Nolan. Souray doesn't look like he should be doing this.

Posted by AC1026 on February 26, 2013 at 12:28 AM

Nolan with the "bitch slap" Souray with the "L" in the books. Solid 6.

Posted by Bagger454 on February 26, 2013 at 02:56 PM

I was at the game last night and also at the game at Anaheim a couple weeks ago. Nolan has now handled both defensemen in that pairing as he beat down big Allen in the game in Anaheim. I can tell you that Souray was hurt by one of those lefts. Caught Souray right on the bridge of the nose and was bloodied and swollen the rest of the game. Being a Kings fan, I am pretty fired up on Nolan's constantly improving fight game. The Kings finally looked like last year's team in the 3rd period where they pounded the Ducks merciessly in their own zone and cycled the crap out of them. I agree that Souray has lost a step in the fight game, but he is still not a guy too many will mess with. It was really that one left that determined that fight. They will almost certainly go again next time out. The punch while they were down was uncalled for, but not a big deal as hepurposely put nothing behind it. I think it was more of a "Im still here and we will do this again" statement.

Nolan lands some dirty shots with the shirt over Souray,s head then souray gets open and Nolan goes to the ground.Souray landed a few early so i give it an honest draw.Homers please stop voting you bias is bleeding through!

Posted by efp on February 26, 2013 at 12:17 AM

Anyone who doesn't take the helmet with a visor off automatically loses.

Posted by chad420 on February 26, 2013 at 01:42 PM

win Nolan Ryan

Posted by craig_9806 on March 03, 2013 at 01:23 PM

Nice visor

Posted by LAKings on February 26, 2013 at 11:31 AM

Souray bumps and attempts to intimidate Carter on previous shift, so Jordy lets him know that he will answer to him. Nolan goes "Hulk" on him feeding him lefts till he turtles. Convincing win Nolan.

Posted by riffraff on February 27, 2013 at 01:05 AM

seeing the names i didnt expect this result as ss is a proven tough customer with freaky strength....but he got tuned good. good job nolan. i expect to see players back down from sheldon less now, and look for him to be challenged more often after this. fan of neither team.

Posted by HeShootsNScores on February 26, 2013 at 01:02 PM

What's with the cheapshot at the end? Nolan had the decency to let the old man get up before continuing to pound him. And don't complain about the visor. He lost his hat before the fight even really started.

Posted by billy jack on March 02, 2013 at 03:19 PM

metis should never fight a treaty lol.man nolan doesnt have a lot of beef on him but he can get hay wire.like to see ted coach the oilers.

Posted by partybarber on February 26, 2013 at 07:24 AM

Nolan for the win

Posted by kingnut on March 01, 2013 at 12:59 AM

nolan easy

Posted by msktmj on February 28, 2013 at 10:42 AM

what drunks voted for souray.

Posted by jim_mckenzie33 on February 26, 2013 at 12:07 AM

Don't see Souray turtle too often but the kid hangs a big time L on him.

Posted by idgafg on February 26, 2013 at 10:02 AM

Nolan with the clear win. Negative points for Souray for the cheapshot on Nolan when he was laying on the ground.

Posted by Orr Fourever on February 26, 2013 at 07:12 AM

Surprise Sheldon!!!!!!!!!!! Ted's boy can throw them, left or right. Jordan was the clear winner here.Sheldon getting a little long in the tooth. Happens to everybody tho. @ Behn Wilson Last I heard Ted was coaching in europe some where. Switzerland me thinks. And this was last year.

Posted by MikeyS22 on February 26, 2013 at 10:45 AM

Nolan rag dolls Souray and let's him up out of pity for the older Souray who tries to save face with a late surge but it was too later.

Posted by LicoriceBiscuit on February 27, 2013 at 10:05 PM

Nice fight for the kid. Nolan is still really young and will continue to fill out and his balance will improve. He could really turn into a beast.

Posted by Andros666 on February 26, 2013 at 03:51 AM

Whoever gives that asshole Souray a vote for a decision seriously needs to get their head out of their ass. You DON'T hit a guy who is already down on the ice. First Nation came up huge tonight over a lousy opponent.

Posted by brymaster1 on February 26, 2013 at 12:43 AM

Nolan

Posted by drivingthenet on February 27, 2013 at 12:55 PM

Nolan got busy with the left and Souray was no match at that point.

Posted by Ed Van Impe on February 26, 2013 at 08:49 AM

Doubt if Shellie picks on Nolan anymore ... he wore his azzz for a hat ...

Posted by Radiotalker on February 28, 2013 at 11:45 AM

All Nolan.

Posted by pvdrummer2000 on March 01, 2013 at 06:35 PM

Really like that Nolan! Kicking ass and taking names.

Posted by FHgrad99 on March 02, 2013 at 08:54 PM

Both guys were throwing but Nolan was connecting with his. He landed several good shots and Souray's best punch got nothing but air. Nolan wins this one.

Posted by kkdowning on February 28, 2013 at 03:46 PM

The youngster wins this one as Souray tried the bull approach

Posted by SouthPaw017 on February 26, 2013 at 12:49 AM

Cirque du Souray's best punch was landed after the refs came in and as he was on top of Nolan... Nolan with the (W) going southpaw....

Posted by fightslikebambi on February 28, 2013 at 02:53 PM

Nolan is one to watch; convincingly beat a pretty tough opponent.

Posted by swany65 on February 26, 2013 at 12:54 AM

Nolan wins, Ducks lose and that's the way life should be.

Posted by staceyb on February 26, 2013 at 05:32 AM

Nolan takes one from his Rick Tocchet toolset and hammers away at Souray with the lefts. Ten years ago Souray was a feared fighter; nobody wanted to go with him.

Posted by Oil Can Henry on February 26, 2013 at 03:13 PM

...Nolan enjoys the advantage, but "conveniently" slips once Souray gains control,....didn't do enough to get a win - draw,.....
