Brown seemed about as surprised as the rest of us were as Salvador stepped up and proceeded to over and under his way to a close victory on points Chico has become Howie Meeker for those of you old enough to catch my obscure reference to the usually descheveled potentially drunk Canadian hockey icon
Brown slipped nothing more, it was close. They landed about the same amount of punches to each other before brown lost his footing.
Gotta agree with Behn Wilson here: Salvador on points. Nice Howie Meeker reference too!!!
Saw the jackhammers I expected to see but going the opposite way - Brownie gets beat at his own game. Win Salvador.
Don't know why Salvador doesn't do more of this since he has always been pretty good at it.
Brown fights like a member of the draft lottery dynasty.
Salvador with the flurry and the win.
Close fight with Brown losing his balance.Salvador is one of the sleeper fighters in the league. Not fighting often but is pretty good at it ,I give him the win in this tilt!
Wambat was stunned before he ever had a chance to get going. Salvador delivered some smooth anger. You all know who won.
I'm pretty sure the 5th punch by Salvador connected and staggered Brown, Brown just couldn't regain his footing. I like what Salvador did here to show Leadership !
Salvador is sneaky tough. I recall him doing a similar unexpected number on Shawn Thornton several years ago.
Lots of punches from Salvador not much damage winner salvador
Hola... Salvador with a win over Brown... Are ya kidding me??? Anyways, that's just what happened here. Salvador surprising every1 (Brown included) with a quicker start then Brown wich is not the least to say... 1 for El Salvador :)... Although NJ gets to drop a point after that 3 zip lead... what a shame!!!
good on salvy protecting his goalie and his players.... browns duck and chuck didn't work out to well that time.. win salvy but a close one at same time... Brown seems to slip to much i thought that when he was a leaf too.. he always seems to trip himself up
love to see mike brown get jacked! not even close! big win for Salvador
All Salvador here brown landed nothing,
salvador is 37 and last time he fought 3 years ago but he still can fight...salvador landed more than brown.both guys landed some decent punches though.u can see salvador checking on his nose in the box...edge salvador in a close fight i didnt know that salvador is captain.or i probably forgot
No real knockout here, just a quick scrap with Bryce landing a bunch of rapid fire shots so many I couldn't even count. Great job stepping in for Marek and winning that fight!
Brown never got started. El salvador, is an idiot tough guy wannabe with a visor. Brown couldn't decide fast enough which part of el salvadors face he wanted to pound in without hurting his fists.
The devils have a really good captin, most captains don't fight anymore. Let alone fight someone else's bout
Win El Salvador in a decent tilt
Holy cow...way to earn his C. Steps up for a teammate and beats the guy onto his knees. Mike Brown got a little embarrased there and from the score it looks like he wasnt the only one on the Oilers feeling that way.
Salvador finally stepping up as a captain. Really love that he supported Zidlicky
Seems Brown was ready to thump the Czech but wasn't prepared for the Canadian lad.
Salvador with the surprising win here....he never let Brown get out of the starting gates. Going buzz saw he stole a page out of Brown's book. Surprisingly easy victory here.
GOOG FIGHT. SALVADOR WON IT.
nasty fight!
Brown was conservative at the start instead of throwing them like Salvador did from the get go. When i saw the two names, i tought it was going to be a landslide for Brown and was real surprise by Salvador performance. Win Salvador and a 5 for spectacle.
Who knew Salvador could still throw them?
Brown went lookin for trouble and found it. Really looked good taking that beating !
way for the captain to step in. much appreciated
I like Brown, but he never got going here and got pummeled by El Salvador.
That was a complete surprise -- when I saw the participants I was concerned for the Devils captain, but he takes the win as Brown had balance issues
Salvador was out for blood in this fight. Very impressive victory.
Textbook fight for a team captain to go after an antagonist picking on a non-fighter teammate. Salvy fights as often as George Foreman these days but he handled Brown with ease. However, if the purpose of the fight was to get his team back into a game they eventually won, Brown deserves one of the three stars of the game. The Oilers goaltending was dreadful. Martin Brodeur had an horrendous third period and shootout.
Salvador stepped up big and protected his goaltender. Great to see a defenseman and captain do this.
So proud of my Captain stepping up and protecting one of his teammates (who was protecting his goaltender). He's been having a good year as well. Let's keep it up!
