Other Penalties: Anton Stralman received a slashing.
Think this video actually belongs on xvideos.com rather than HF. its just chara fisting a massive vagina.
Hey Boyle, here's a tip...don't touch Krejci...don't even look at him. Chara shows a lot of restraint here as Boyle takes a knee a couple of times.
Burton Cummings of the Guess Who cant seem to take enough knees en route to embarrassingly one-sided pasting at the hands of the Jolly Green Giant
Once upon a time, this was a place to rate hockey fights and fighters. So, let's push the psychotic Bruins hating, Lucic fascination, and Jack Edwards whining. Boyle fought Chara. Chara wrecked Boyle. The End
Oh good grief. The Eighth Amendment in the U.S. Constitution forbids "cruel and unusual punishment." Of secondary note Chara got the Gordie Howe (though should we really count this as a fight?) and picked up First Star of the Game by scoring the winning goal.
Chara goes after the weakest player on the ice and doesn't even give Boyle a chance to get his mitts off.
thats Chara shooting fish in a barrel...he knew Boyle had NO answer for anything.... caged hunt on national tv as Stretch gets the 'domination' W
as a Ranger fan i absolutely embarrassed to see Boyle in our sweater. he's a pretty boy he chases after much smaller or finesse players. more concerned with how his facial hair looks than standing up for himself. hoping Sather finds a way to move this donkey.
Boyle needs to join The Cobra Kai.
Boyle said F U to Chara and then proceeded to cower. Wimp
Chara thrashed him like a rag doll. Reminded me of the fight he had with Bryan McCabe years ago.
6'6??? Boyle was fighting like he was 4'6!!!
Not even close!
The Aerosmith song RAG DOLL comes to mind. I see a win for the Slovakian superman. That's right I said Slovakian superman. Now I see why Boyle let's Dorsett handle all the scrapping. Rangers ain't the same since Torts left. They play hockey like the Canucks. Hey wait a minute. Did'nt their coach used to coach the Canucks? Hmmm Vancouver Rangers. Makes sense. Zee is just warming up for the game on Dec 5th. @87 Crosby VAGIA-eretty..Hahahahaha good one.
Boyle is no match for Big Chara. This is the second time Boyle has been fed Boston knuckles
Yuh, right, Boyle. Next time try to wrestle King Kong off of the Empire State Building. New York idiot.
Chara
Boyle is no tuff guy. Should take some boxing lessons in the offseason.
Chara with the win.
chara shit all over boyle in this fight. Boyle had NO chance. I have a 4k tv. (4 times clearer than HD) Boyle had tears at the end of this one lol Next time he will think twice before walking into Boston........
Dear Brian Boyle: Keep your ugly fucking mitts off of David Krejci. He's one of the cleanest and most talented players in the NHL. You wanna start throwing cheap shots at a clean player like that? Expect a few of big Z's fists in your face. Boyle got stomped and deserved it. Ass.
Pound for pound Boyle is the worst fighter in the history of the NHL. What does Chara think he's proving by this? The only plus for Boyle is that he didn't look any worse for the wear afterwards.
Chara rag dolls Boyle!! Not even close.
Sweet to see Boyle get taken to school…..he's known for being a "big man" against skill players……he forgot Chara was on the ice…sweet Z!
Chara laid some Slovak style woop-ass on Boyle.
Chara, one tough dude.
Almost voted TKO. Chara manhandled him. Case closed. Was that tears in Boyle's eyes after the fight?
Wow ... that looked like McCabe being rag-dolled by the big man! Boyle looked just as scared!
If a 6'6" Boyle is no match for Chara, who is?
Wow...Boyle is about as tough as Marek Malik for his size.
to eli9567 The bruins haven't played Buffalo since the episode with Erickson and Scott. Chara wasn't on the ice when Scott took the cheap shot, but Mquaid was and did go after Scott, You may want to check your facts before saying stupid statements. At any rate a dominant win for Chara. I think he was very easy on Boyle and could have really hurt him anytime he wanted.
Hey Pierre Maguire, it was a fair fight. Just because 6 foot 7 inch Brian Boyle is a woman does not mean it isnt. Boyle was a real tough guy ragdolling 6 foot David Krejčí. The only thing wrong in the universe is that there is already someone in popular culture with the nickname Boyle deserves. Vincent Pastore you have competition.
RAGDOLL?
Someday Chara might actually fight somebody that can fight.
"Please dont hurt me.Im sorry,Take my lunch money".....Z allday
Chara pounds the one of the Ranger punching bags. Theirs no match for Chara period. Its funny you never see the other teams enforcer even skate by him. Haters keep on hateing.
god damn son, you are in a fight and only two inches shorter...do something!
just shows that the rangers need some toughness it's hard to win a game when your players get embarrassed and physically abused.
Domination by Chara.
they are both garbage. chara with the win, despite being on of the softest fighters in the leauge
Chara obviously, but him being off the ice for 5 mins is a bit problematic.
Chara is all over Boyle in this one.
Boyle is a joke. Why should Chara fight Scott - the same reason Robinson beat the sh!t out of Shultz back in 70's. Chara owes it to Thornton to have a go with Scott.
brian boyle is just that, a boyle, nothing but a big nagging lump of puss.what an embarrassment to not only himself but to the rangers organization.Isaid it weeks ago about there muscle ,and when it came time to play these tougher teams how they would get manhandled and that's just what happened. Check out how thorton just laughed at these bunch of marshmellows when ever there was a scuffle. just pathetic rangers!
The head but on!y thing
That first punch looked like it ended it right away
Phaneuf….this is what a captain does when someone tries to take advantage of a star player. Loved Chara since is PG Cougar days. Easy win
What does Chara have to prove here?!?! Ahh.... Maybe stop trying to play tough-guy with a 5ft.-whateva assist-finesse player! The fact that people say a fight between a 6-5 guy and a 6-9 is somehow unfair while the 6-5 is trying to throw-down with a assist playmaker is insane! And for once and for all to all the haters who continue to say Chara & Looch pick there spots.... Look at there career fight cards! The best of the best heavies! Have a look at a real window-shopper in Boyle!
Boyle got fed... At least he sort of tried to get in krejci's face for running the tender... Should've just skated off with his tail between his legs before getting dummied.
Chara ragdolled him, no contest
omg Boyle', thats what my 2 month old puppy does to his toys! win Chara
LOL - University of Maine Alumni. Hated him when he was at BC and still hate him now. Always been a punk and always will be. That being said, he could have totally turtled and not bothered to drop the gloves so I give him something here.
Chara would have had a tougher time taking on a 12 yr old girl from the stands... And not have to use his shoe. Why waste 5 minutes fighting Boyle, or Girlye
wow what a pussy Boyle is that's all i got to say
Simply put, Brian Boyle is one of the biggest sissies to play hockey. 2 fights in a row he has curled up like a little baby.
Owned....
Fighters like to drop the gloves with Boyle because he is big, and actually will drop 'em, even though the entire league is aware that he is simply inept in that department. It takes no courage whatsoever. I would love both Chara and Lucic on my team, but honestly they are both huge spot pickers, that's just the truth, like its the truth that Boyle could be imprisoned in a wet paper bag. So, win Chara, not even a fight. No credit due for this one though. No challenge, nothing proved. Its not even a boost for your team to beat up Boyle, its a given result, and its not like he's dirty and you get satisfaction out of it.
The funny thing is if Boyle was on your wimpy team with 1 goon that fights stars like Chara/Lucic and Jack Edwards narrated half the voters would say Boyle won and only Boston homers think Chara won this. Chara barely got his arms extended with proper form and Boyle really wins cuz he got Chara in the box and anyway Chara is taller and heavier so not fair advantage BOYLE!
Best part of all these Boston fans chirping about Boyles lack of toughness, is he's just like you, Bostons' finest. The guy has never once initiated a fight, clearly didn't want to go. Saying he thinks he's tough just shows you're a moron, he plays a solid 3rd liner game. On Boyles end, he really needs to defend himself. He doesn't even turtle well.
Chara an easy win. You clowns that say why should Chara fight Scott or any other enforcer makes me laugh. What's the franken difference whether it's 5 mins for fighting Boyle or enforcers like Scott, Orr etc other then Chara is afraid to fight someone who can fight back. When he did drop'em with Big Georges he tackled him as not to get into an exchanges of punches. Just face the facts he is scared. Let me also state I'm not a BB hater other then when they play the Sabres. I think the BB are the only team in the east that can challenge the west come the playoffs. As far as Lucic goes most may hate him but I bet the fans of the 29 other teams would take him in a heart beat on their team.
Complete mis-match.... Boyle tries to act like a tough guy.. then once again gets exposed.. much like facewashing and jabbing karlsson then turtling to Carkner.. I cant help but smile watching Boyle get his much deserved Thanksgiving desserts.
Hahaha, retire2006, fight Scott. Why? So Scott's 5 min TOI can finally produce something?
Big Bird Owned the Smurf
YEAHHHH CHARA. Boyle is annoying as shit, always trying to act tough but he loses every fight just like this one. Shit, even someone like Iginla would destroy him.
chara again with a non fighter how about john scott for a change ?
embarrassing not sure who is worse DORSETT or BOYLE ,at least DORSETT stands up .BOYLE was humiliated
Great job Big Z for stepping up finally
Chara DOMINATION The only thing that could have made this better If the punching bag was VAGIA-eretty... Waits to see how many of the Logo de Toilet Seat Brigade chime in and vote Boyle the winner
Chara emasculates the gutless Boyle, and the rest of the cream puff Rags. I'm sure the Habs spineless fanbase will defend Boyle and his cowardice because that's what Montreal does when they try and fight Chara, they get thrashed until they turtle, and then they shamelessly call 911. Haha, Clowns.
Boyle musta ate too much turkey blood flow to brain low...Chara actually showed mercy...trying to take on Chara????
hey wooly mouthpiece what team do you cheer for because I could probably pick apart your roster to, its funny how guys come here and say Boston sucks there a bunch of goons yet show me any team in the league who wouldn't want to be as good as the Bruins or even close to them, I guess when you are above most teams guys need to say shit to hide their manly short comings..
Let's see 2 Ranger heavyweights (Nash & Boyle) go after 2 Bruins middleweights- at best (Krug & krecji) so McQuaid steps in for Krug & Chara steps in for Krecji. This is called sticking up for your teammates, that's what the Bruins & good teams do for each other. Obviously all the haters on here can't grasp this concept. I just wish McQuaid had the chance to school Nash like Chara did to Boyle. Haha, I love how the expression on Boyle's face was angry tough guy when he was charging after Krecji. Then when Chara grabbed him from behind & spun him around Boyle looked like he wanted his mommy. Anyone who thinks Chara should be fighting goons because they want to take him off the ice should google the word hockey. Obviously you have no idea what the word means or how the game is played. However, I feel that Bruins have to make Scott answer for the Ericcson hit & the best chance of that is with Chara.
Chara that coward, shows his true colors again. NEVER fights heavyweights.
Hey cible, was it ok for rick nash to go after torey krug in the 1st??I think Boyle would lose a fight with Nathan Gerbe, easy win for Z
Boyle looks more like 5'6" than 6"6" as Chara rag dolls him....
Chara is allowed to pick his fights. He's a future hall of famer, not a goon and despite fighting heavies in the past he doesn't have too. His job isn't to fight goons like Scott, mcgrattan and bordeleau. He's no champion fighter That said it would be awesome to see him go with Scott as retribution for the hit on eriksson. But that's the only reason. He's not an enforcer
@sedinfan You're wrong that Chara "has nothing left to proof [sic]" and not just because you misspelled the word. There are current fighters, whom Chara has yet to face (e.g. John Scott, P Borderleau, Luke Gazdic, etc.) He is a tough guy, but he's a scumbag tough guy like most of the Bruins. Thornton is an exception to that. Chara picks his fights and lately often fights outmatched opponents (and sometimes non-fighters.) He has fought some good/decent fighter over the past few years, but they are chiefly guys, who aren't capable of matching up with him. He has been avoiding guys, who might just punch him to the ice.
Win for the big Z. which of course stands for big zero........here he looks for the easy mark in Boyle the cream puff.......Z is a real hero when he is not going after people with broken orbital bones he carefully picks the softest opponents he can find . Kreji the little weasel deserved a beat down for the dangerous act of knocking someone over into their goalie.........but being the little coward that he is........we'll what's the point . We all saw what Benoit Pouliot did to him..........John Scott is ACTUALLY who the big dummy should be fighting and spare me your stupid Bruin come backs of future hall of famer......Larry Robinson is in the hall and he fought all comers........your bull$ hit doesn't resonate. Lets not let this opportunity pass to give kudos to the big L on the team which also of course stands for loser.....the way to valuable I DID once score 30 goals guy Lucic. LUCIC also ducks the true heavies why haven't either of these giant Pandas tried to exact revenge for Thornton? BECAUSE They are cowards and only fight the mismatches.......LUCIC fought Colton Orr and hid behind the refs....Don Cherry called him out for that cowardly act......he got beat by Erskine .......but my favorite was his running from George Laraque for 3 games ......that showed what a pussified Panda bear he is. When Lucic steps up and fights the fighters he loses.......... LUCIC doesn't have to beat Scott neither does Chara......but if you saw what Douglas Murray did that's called balls....it's called stepping up........both these two PANDA BEAR PRETENDERS.......Well simply put are bullies and showboating cowards.......and I hate the Bruins but it makes me sick to my stomache when I see John Scott going unchallenged on Boston ice.......Mcquaids feeble jumping and where he tried the patented Colton Orr rodeo pull down was a bull$hit move. Try going straight up like Murray did......but I guess that would take a pair now wouldn't it Between now and Dec 19th maybe they can grow a pair between them Big one sided victory here for Chara ........the bamboo shoots must taste sweet.....for the Giant Panda Bear..........but I thought it was a grizzly. Lol
Hard to rate a fight where one is a non-combatant! Chara yanks Boyle out of the scrum and hits him with a good right that ends any chance of a good hockey fight. It was a nice right hand but the fight was a weak 3. Chara gets the win against another non-fighter. But the truth about Chara is that he never takes a fight against the real bombers...so he can't be given status as a big time fighter. He (Lucic too) have skated away from Scott, McLaren, Orr and even Engelland, who isn't even a heavy weight. The argument that they are too valuable to fight doesn't fly when they willingly take fights against the lesser lights. Lucic will forever be tied to his demolition of Komisarik, a euro non-fighter, soccer player wannbe. He put on a good show with Wrecking Ball. But Homer voting notwithstanding Lucic got his ass kicked in that one. He won't take that fight again. I don't have any problem with them not fighting the real enforcers but they won't get serious props from me as fighters until they do. I have more respect for Campbell.
Typical Boston crap!!!! Krejci lays a dirty and gutless hit on Staal, that was not in possession of the puck, to make him fall volunteraly on Lundqvist. Then, when the Rangers look for retribution that's completely understandable and warranted, Krejci hides behind Lucic and Chara. Just like Kadri the other night, Krejci knows he can cross the fine line between hard-nosed hockey and dirty with an intent to injure hockey because he never answers for his dangerous conduct. I'm all for tough guys in the lineup to make smaller players grow three inches and feel protected if a scrum breaks loose but not with the fact that it gives them the green light for playing reckless. I won't even get started with Chara' conduct who always picks his opponent and takes dives when his facing formidable foes( two times in the same game againts Laraque)!!!! Trust me, if it was Bordeleau, Mcgrattan, Parros, Scott or any legit heavyweight instead of Boyle, Chara would have never instigated that fight. No respect for players that have double standards depending on the identity of the opponent!!!!!
Chara no contest...sedinfan you are 100% correct...and all the Lucic haters stop...every year people say he picks his spots when he's fought plenty of "heavies' (Rechlicz in preseason)...in reality when teams play the bruins the two guys they like to go with is rag doll Campbell and can't stay on my skates McQuaid...People want nothing to do with Lucic or Chara especially when they are mad
No thrill in this one, Chara wins! What's with the blasting and name calling on Scott? People keep calling him out for being useless and 3 minutes of ice time, no sh!t. He's not payed to score, he's payed to whip a$$ and does pretty well!
Boyle loves to grab guys in a scrum, and hold on. Now I see why, fighting isn't his thing, all 6'7 of him. Chara, if you're willing to fight someone like Boyle, a 3rd liner who is meaningless to the game, be man enough to fight John Scott too, who also is meaningless. Boyle can play a little, but still, man up Chara. And Sedinfan, he needs to "Man Up" vs Scott, no one was talking about him years ago, or any year. Scott hurts Ericsson, and Chara should man up. Thornton shouldn't, we know that result. So Boyle is a good trade off vs Chara, and Scott isn't????? A 3rd liner, at best, is a good trade off? Do your homework. He needs to man up for this year's hit, period. @can'tskate, fight him to stand up for what he did, wow, Boston fans usually want to maul a guy who does that, but not John Scott? I guess he gets a pass on his mauling of a Bruin player this year.
Z's the best defenseman in the game! Fight John Scott hahaha??!! Scott is a talentless meat puppet! Big Z with an easy win over Boyle.
Don't like Chara. He picks fights when he can / should win and avoids anyone who might give him a fair fight. At least Boyle did not cry but sure looked like he wanted to. Total domination by Chara. Fight was a 4.5
Chara just toyed with Boyle here and he actually let him off the hook when he went down. This could have been an absolute maiming.
Not a fair fight? That was absolutely a fair fight! The part that wasn't "a fair fight" was when Boyle was trying to take on Krejci FFS! Absolutely love seeing Chara come in there and drag the big man out of the pile and then slowly, methodically, fill him in. Chara is overly-fair to Boyle, giving him every opportunity to be a man and fight and what does Boyle do? Fumble around, twisting and turtling and doing everything he can to not stay on his feet. This is not an isolated incident, either. Boyle has done this all his career. Tough when he has 40lbs and 6 inches on a guy, turtles when he doesn't. He is a complete disgrace of a player. I'm only glad he's not Canadian.
You can look at the percentage who vote for Chara versus the percentage who vote tie or Boyle and determine the amount of Bruin's haters on here vs actual number of true hockey fight fans who judge and score bouts relatively fairly with no bias. Let's see how high that number is. With that being said. Chara wins. Landed the only punches. Scored a couple knockdowns (more like Boyle diving to the ground to avoid being hit) and mounts the only offense in this uneven fight. Like that he didn't hit him while down and even helped him back up onto his skates. Stand up guy that Chara lol. Let this be a lesson. While in scrums if you are going to try and bully guys a foot and 60lbs smaller than you, make sure guys who can kick your ass aren't on the ice also.
Is it ever fair with Zed? Hire a Knicks center for a game with the Bruins. BB better not put this clip on his resume looking as pathetic as he did here. Chara often controls a fight without landing much, but he did land and caused some damage here. Also got a gordie.
Chara has never beaten a tough guy around his size. Simple as that. He did NOT beat Koci back a few years ago, but it appeared so because Koci had just gotten stitches and Chara landed a good one, besides that it was even. If Chara will fight against guys who get low minutes like Koci, Laraque, Brashear, Mckenna, Shelley, and others, why won't he fight Scott or McGrattan or Bordeleau? Now I like Chara and the way he plays hockey, but come on now MAN UP and fight one of the new tough guys and don't turtle. He knows he wouldn't win.
Yes, easy win for Lurch. Is Boyle a fighter?? I love hearing how tough Z and Lubitch are yet I recall Thorty getting his head smashed in and neither one of those "tough" guys even looked towards Scott. Despicable. And I bet Thorty has that in the back of his mind too. I know I would. I also remember a few years ago in the playoffs when Z and Lubitch were showing how tough they are pushing around Gionta and Gomez and when Laraque came on the ice they were choir boys. I know, I know, they are too important to be off the ice for a major. And when Chara fought Koci, Koci had broken his nose days before that fight. I`m not surprised it leaked as it did. It took a lot of balls to even be on the ice let alone fight.
Not much of a fighter size M takes on not much of a fighter size XXXL with the expected result. Chara's nothing but a could be until he fights somebody - as in somebody he can't ragdoll at will or just lean on when he start eating punches. Yawn...
Boston has a guy who could fight anyone, there is no guy in this leagues who would hear "NO" from Zdeno ;)
The tool gets tooled. Its AMAZING how quickly those Rangers drop to their knees.
It really amazes how many knucklehead will put things in writing without doing thier research. Pull up Chara's fight card and see the fights he has had. I bet Scott has because you dont see him going after Chara to prove himself. Though come to think about it, I dont think Scott can skate well enough to get near Chara. Scott feels better going after Kessel!!
The big yetti picks a non-fighter again and tries to tough but he is a pussy who wont fight real heavyweight. Easy for Boyle who handles the ugliest guy in the league.
Rag doll
Nothing fight. Boyle is not a fighter and proved it.
Very poor decision making on Boyle's part. He was justified in going after the Bruin that decked Pyatt but when you're as big as Boyle and playing against Chara you have to know that he's your guy when the caller says "Partner up!" He would have been better served by waiting until Chara got near the scrum and just paired up with him, letting the average guys take care of business.
Chara showed little character in taking on a guy who had no chance of even defending himself.
I'm not a Boston fan, but Zdeno Chara is a 15-year veteran, 6-time All-Star and Norris Trophy winner, with 57 regular and post-season fights under his belt in that time. I don't care what name is on the front OR back of a player's jersey, how big he is or tough or not he allegedly is... When you have that kind of resume, you can pick your spots all you like. It is a long-established part of the Code that a veteran fighter does not have to fight a rookie/youngin. You wouldn't knock Laraque or Probert if they declined to fight a guy. Moreover, even if you want to knock Chara for not fighting as much as he used to – because, hey, he's actually a decent player and the B's probably don't want him taking himself off the ice – Boyle is 6'6, i.e., he's big enough that he should be able to take care of himself. Everyone who thinks Chara is a pussy for not dropping the gloves with a pure goon like Scott either (a) doesn't understand the history & traditions of the NHL, (b) doesn't know how to appreciate and respect veteran players who have accomplished more than breaking a few teeth, or (c) is just a flamer or homer trying to start crap. Which ever is the case, you should probably get off this website and stop calling yourself a hockey fan. Tl;DR: Chara doesn't have to prove himself by only fighting other 6'8/6'9 guys.
Could have been Looch, turned out it was Z..either way pick your poison..the first rights Z landed..maybe the first one decided the fight,Boyle was out of his league and lucky it ended as quickly as it did
At the time of the fight the Bruins were losing.... then the Bruins won. Who says fighting doesn't have a part of the game?!?!?
Not much of a knucklebuster really. Chara could have destroyed Boyle's mug if he really wanted to. Boyle turtled.
Chara tossed little B around like a rag doll. Not much of a fight, but clear domination by big Z.
God the Rags are such a disappointment. If this isnt a wake up call to AV idk what is
TURTLE !!
Props to Boyle for dropping the gloves w/ Chara but as I said before he is the worst pound for pound fighter to ever play in the NHL. Win Chara .
Not much here. Boyle is a huge pansy... I would also like to see chara kick Scott's ass. Hell while were at it. I would like to see Scott play hockey.
Chara vs the man who cant fight.
Boyle is unable & unwilling and it makes you wonder how he keeps a roster spot on the Rangers roster with their strong start. A surprising decision by Chara to fight, he's far more important on the blue line, than in the sin bin. Nonetheless, this fight is one-sided and uneventful. All Chara.
Boyle should be ashamed of himself. Turtled after taking one good shot - decided to get up again and gets tagged again. Cmon man....a bit man and a bigger pussy! Why do the Rangers keep him around - does not score, barely is a physical presence....
chara isn't an enforcer, he's not going to take on heavyweight goons at this point in his career. he doesn't care about impressing anyone on this site. sorry boys. chara TKO
Boyle curled up in the fetal position. Appeared ready to take on Krejci, surprise, surprise, Chara, so one punch and he's done. Typical.
Boyle needs to go back to peter puck and learn to stay on his skates....unless he was practicing for the turtle squad
embarassing, but at least Boyo didn't run away like I expected him to.
Chara has to "man up" and fight Scott, because of the Eriksson incident? All of you educated fans tell me how many times Boston has played Buffalo since the incident and how many chances Chara has had.
Nothing better than sitting at home eating my 5,000th leftover calorie of the day and watching a Gordie Howe hat trick. I don't blame Boyle for turtling, considering his main defense is to block punches with his orbital bone. Brings shame to the stache though. Lucic brought shame to all staches everywhere with his though, I believe Cindy Crosby's pre-teen stache could probably beat up Lucic's poor John Walters imitation.
For those saying Chara wouldn't fight Scott......provide one example where Scott challenged Chara and Z turned him down. Don't freaking kid yourself that he would turtle against Scott. Had Z been on the ice when Scott punked Loui; it would've been him in a heartbeat that jumped on him like McQuaid did.
easy win chara between 2 big guys
chara all day. Boyle should be glad chara showed mercy
retired2006, time to do your homework. Chara used to fight a lot but has nothing left to proof and i am sure the Bruins don't want him breaking a hand. Since he almost killed Koci a few years ago, most people avoid him and they hired Thronton to do that job. He has still fought Shelley, Harrison, Neil and Laracque and Brashear a few years ago. In his early years he has fought Worrell numerous times as well as Odjick, Debrusk, Simon, Parker, Oliwa, Ivanans, Debrusk, Cairns and so on. Not sure how much more he needs to "Man Up" with that lineup. He dominates Boyle like everyone else the past few years with his 8 foot long arms. Boyle scared to death at 6'6", the Rangers really need some toughness. That being said, i wouldn't mind seeing him and Scott or McGratten have a go, but i doubt we will ever see it. Not a good trade off for the Bruins with a hall of famer fighting an idiot like Scott.
Boyle tried to be big tough guy against Krejci, but got a big surprise. Chara fight John Scott? That would be like Crosby fighting some crack head from a beer league. Get real. This is the NHL, star players should not waste time with Sh*tbags like Scott.
I'm a B's fan and a Chara fan and from watching him, I've never understood why people think he's a good fighter. He won this fight, it's the first time I've seen him throw a somewhat decent punch but this is the first fight I've ever seen him win by actually punching and not wrestling. Just because a guy is big and physically fit does not mean he can fight well. As a long time B's fan I'd say little PJ Stock would destroy Chara if they fought. As a long time Maple Leafs hater, I'd say Tie Domi would humiliate Chara if they fought. Both those guys are much smaller than Chara but anyone who knows fights knows that sometimes it's not the size of the dog in the fight, its the size of fight in the dog. Don't be stupid and call for him to fight John Scott unless there is an actual need for it. Chara's would step in if the situation required it and he was the first man to the job just like McQuaid did when Scott hit Eriksson but he's smart enough to know that there's nothing to gain by just going and starting a fight with Scott. Hockey first, fights second.
Boyle again shows why he's the softest big man in the league. Chara dominates without any difficulty.
"not a fair fight for Boyle" because Boyle is a huge pussy. It should be a fair fight at 6'6 and 6'9. Boyle is a soft player, that's all there is to it. Boyle pretends to be tough in scrums all the time, then pusses out when it's time to throw down. He could be a decent player if he played a heavier game, like a Lucic. Boyle is basically a waste of a player for his size. He is in the league for his size but plays a small game. Chara is not a fighter, nor should he be. Rag doll is all the needs to be said about this one sided hockey fight.
Don't tug on superman's game sweater...
Big Z with his reach landed a couple of solid rights! Good and easy win for Chara! Bruins needed to drop the gloves a few more times today...Lucic with Falk would have set the tone earlier. But glad to see "Z" go at it.
"Not even a fair fight". Are you a moron Mr. Announcer, you effing piece of dog ship? Boyle is 6'6" you retread. All Z-man here.
chara gave him every opportunity to get up and get a grip. I like boyle too but chara is just too powerful...........bring on scott!!! Chara been offering with people almost every game..no takers....didn't realy give boyle a choice
Pooped on
chara watching lucic to much with fighting a nobody,, boyle.is way. to soft..
@ CID, the reason people vote against Bruins is not because of the team, it's because most of their fans are the biggest A-holes in the world. Just read most of the posts and you can see why. They're the whiniest little babies with all the excuses on who and why their team fights and why they don't fight. Everyone on the team are future HOF'ers who shouldn't waste their time on certain guy's. Just shut the f-up and fight. @ cindy crosby, that is a C, you probably never got that far in school, but trust me. It's better than logo of "bird with d!ck in a$$".
Boyle is a huge Pu$$y
Chara blows chunks, but he indeed won this (mundane) fight. Versus the Friendly Giant, no less.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Couple of things.. Easy one first, Chara with an embarrassingly easy win, gave it a 4. Second, for those you begging for Scott/Chara, what's the point? Chara is a hall of famer, Scott is flat out the worst player in the league. How is that any kind of trade off? Eventually someone on the Bruins will get their shot, and good luck to them. Third, Boyle is not now and never has been a fighter. He's a good two-way player who fits on any line. Too bad for him he's giant. Lastly.....for Christ's sake Sather sign someone, anyone. Did you see the look on Boyle's face?
Chara really wanted him for some reason. Boyle way overmatched here.
I normally hate watching Chara fight, but tonight he actually fought. Glad I didn't pass on this one. The big dummy threw some nasty punches to dominate Boyle.
Waste of effort for Chara to take this guy on, but once gloves off, he shows enormous restraint. Boyle should have turtled instantly, also to save time. Chara clealy needed to blow off steam.
No contest.
Chara is a chump. He's dopey, dirty, and won't ever grab or square off with anyone that can really throw down. I can't stand that guy. But I am not one of those that gives a fight to a loser just cause I hate the other guy. But there is always a draw. Both guys lose this one in my book.
what a moron talking like hes all big then dropping like a girl when Chara takes him up on it
LOL StaceyB -- that was cruel and unusal. Chara pulled Boyle out of a scrum and it was like the parting of the Red Sea as everyone else skated away (real fast)
Ha, ha, ha. Brian Boyle (a boil on the a$$ of society) gets totally embarrassed and humiliated. What a POS that guy is. On a side note: Chara and Lucy (both notorious spot-pickers) seemed pretty eager to go after Brianna Boyle, a big, soft punching bag and easy victim. I suspect that if Krejci had been b*tch slapped by someone like Scott, McGratten, McLaren, Boulton, Engeland or Orr, these two colossal sissies would have undoubtedly slinked away from the action without so much as a peep out of either one of them. Why? …Because that's what COWARDS do. Everyone involved in this fight is a cowardly puke. Brianna Boyle did get bullied and embarrassed, though. Not as bad as when he turtled against Matt Carkner in the playoffs, but this was pretty shameful, nonetheless.
Once again, Boyle finds out that fighting against a guy who can actually fight, let alone one who is bigger than him, does not yield the same results as the non-fighters he usually goes against. McQuaid taught him this lesson last season, but apparently he forgot and Chara was kind enough to teach him again.
Chara decides to go with a non fighter and continues to duck Scott.
