Latta let White off the hook, he should have kept punching with the jersey over the head -- in the old days that was a legitimate tactic

Posted by doobi1 on November 13, 2015 at 11:26 AM

Latta pays back White with a double beat down. Once turtlenecking, and another when the turtle pulled his head out of the shell. Not fond of the Capitals, but I have to say, this beating gave me a chuckle. WIN to Latta.

White's a punk. Latta FTW.

I'm going draw here. I think white got a good shot at the end there. He's the only guy besides Gudas showing some heart out there. It's pissin me offff!! I would like to add that if latta kept hitting him when whites jersey was over his head, he would be a little biotch for that. Why even try to put his jersey over the head anyway? Just slug it out. White didn't lose here dudes, he got caught up by latta pulling the jersey and thank god for the refs no jumping in and for lattas sportsmanship. I say it's a complicated draw and um... Yeah I says uh good day gentlemen

Posted by Humper on November 12, 2015 at 09:46 PM

This is a little more like it. Both of them landed a couple (is that even allowed??) so I'm going draw.

Posted by scorp1on on November 14, 2015 at 11:14 AM

White for the first two thirds and Latta in the last third. Nothing monumental. Draw and a 6.

Posted by toy boy dan on November 13, 2015 at 10:56 AM

White landed the better punch's

Posted by Gunslinger on November 16, 2015 at 09:09 AM

Yep.......should of kept Rinaldo.

Posted by EK65 on November 13, 2015 at 12:05 PM

Latta lets White regain his head and then pounds on him some more

Posted by lovejoy on November 13, 2015 at 02:54 AM

Classy behavior by Latta. He gave White second chance but no effect. Narrow win Latta

Posted by Behn Wilson on November 14, 2015 at 09:40 PM

White adheres to his patented "start well and fade" routine... while the bad Russian car shows some class by letting "the guy who shares Thorburn's barber" "un-jersey" himself before continuing to lose

Posted by Nystrom_23 on November 13, 2015 at 09:27 AM

White tries to get the jump on Latta and fails. Latta hogties him and was in control. Props to him for upholding the code and not punching White while he was tangled up.

Posted by DARCY T on November 28, 2015 at 12:17 PM

why did latta let white to adjust his jersey??i would capitalize on that and pummel opponent's head and not to let him get back into better position.and then you wonder why some people call fights nowdays staged...win latta

Posted by canamrugby on November 15, 2015 at 08:54 AM

Full props to Latta whom patiently held off throwing punches while White was trying to sort out his wardrobe malfunction. Once White stops playing turtle and shows his mug Latta uses it for target practice,

Posted by rocky 1 on November 14, 2015 at 12:15 AM

Good sportsmanship here as Latte allows white to get his head out of his jersey, maybe so he could continue to pound on him some more !

Posted by retired2006 on November 14, 2015 at 09:07 PM

So the refs jump in every fight as quick as possible these days, yet, with a guy with a jersey over his head, the refs do nothing??? The refs have just been awful again this year, but watching this just makes me wonder what they were thinking here.

Classy move for Latta to hold off while White was jerseyed.

Posted by badspotpicker on November 13, 2015 at 06:29 AM

ryan white is the flyers tough guy (thats not good) classy move latta not punching when white had jersey over his head win latta.

Posted by PuckFittsburgh on November 12, 2015 at 08:56 PM

I respect letting White get his head back out. Gotta give Latta the W

"what's wrong" with zebras? :)

Posted by hockeyboy10106 on November 14, 2015 at 11:17 PM

Good scrap between both guys

Posted by moneybags on November 14, 2015 at 01:22 AM

Hey! An actual fight , stay out zebras and keep out

Posted by bigmike53 on November 13, 2015 at 01:56 PM

Classy move letting White out of his headless horseman routine. Good spirited scrap and a slight edge to Latta. I wouldn't argue a Draw.

Flyers second best in every aspect tonight.

Posted by TheNuge75 on November 12, 2015 at 09:25 PM

Win for Latta.

Posted by Jordybats99 on December 16, 2016 at 01:18 PM

Pretty good fight. Win Latta. Hate when Linemen try to get in when guys jersey goes over his head. its fair game thats the point get the jersey up and feed the guy lunch.

Posted by Detroit_Caps on November 13, 2015 at 08:02 AM

. . .White showed to much ego and did not realize who he got in a fight with. While Latta showed mercy, it may have been better for Flyers fans if he'd of finished him off.

Posted by killerkelly on November 12, 2015 at 11:05 PM

I want to give props to Latta for no thumping a guy with his sweater over his head...let him get his gear sorted and then commenced. Great sportsmanship.

Posted by tmac72 on November 13, 2015 at 10:17 AM

Lot's of respect in this fight - it's what makes hockey such a great sport. White was lost amongst his jersey, Latta holds and lets him recover so they can continue. Latta by a margin.

Posted by swissgolfpro on November 14, 2015 at 06:05 PM

Latta could have destroyed White at the time the sweater was over White's head, He showed restraint.

Posted by ravenmaniacski on November 14, 2015 at 12:37 PM

Latta let white off easy. He could have really hammered him with the Jersey over his head but let him pop it back out

Posted by lucic17 on November 12, 2015 at 10:50 PM

Nice spirited scrap. White looking very much like a Gorton's fish stick jersey era Islander Bryan McCabe with the wild hair and wild punches. The reference will only be understood by older fight fans.

Posted by Big_Fat_Dan on November 15, 2015 at 04:08 AM

Fair play to Latta, let's White poke his head back out then pounds it some more.

Posted by travist on November 13, 2015 at 12:50 AM

different jersey same result for white...who would win between campbell and white?

Posted by grrbronco81 on November 15, 2015 at 09:46 PM

"Good spirited fight". Props to Latta for giving White the opportunity to get his head out of his jersey so he can hit his head better. LOL

Posted by Great Murray on November 15, 2015 at 08:01 PM

I can't find the big win for Latta...it looked like a pretty even go to me and considering that most of the punches thrown were missed I can't go more than 4 for them. Draw Mean intentions for sure but lacking real results.

Latta

Posted by Ripper20 on November 13, 2015 at 02:46 PM

I had to watch this a couple times to make sure I wasn't missing something. I score this a draw. I think White had an early shot or two that scored and landed the last couple that scored. Latta controlled everything in between, and displayed a little bit of class by not flailing away the entire time while White's jersey was over his head.

Posted by hkhk on November 12, 2015 at 10:58 PM

latta couldve hammered white when sweater came over whites head but he showed class there. White is willing but hes a middleweight that be nice with true heavy, but this is new nhl, and boring no h=passion flyers

Posted by English_Bruin on November 14, 2015 at 07:55 AM

Enjoyed that, think they were too. Very sporting of Latta to let white sort his jersey out and allow him punch him in the face twice, what a gentleman. Draw.
