Another L for Ryan "The Human Speed Bag" White

Posted by Bigcoop71 on April 07, 2017 at 02:45 PM

White was clearly sent out to draw the penalty from the Caps, and Wilson answered the call. I give this one to White because he did his job, drew the penalty and gave the Wild the powerplay. He did not win the fight though so this one get a draw card from me. Did not change the outcome of the game though, the Wild slump continued.

Wilson won a fight! Wilson won a fight! Instead of trying to hug the guy to death, he actually threw some punches.

Shame these two didn't simultaneously knock each other out. Unsurprisingly Ryan White gets fed his lunch as usual, little surprised Tom Wilson dished it out.

Posted by BillB28 on March 15, 2017 at 11:08 AM

Tom sticking up for Orpik who had been hit late by White with no ref nearby to call it. Last season White gave Orpik a concussion.

Wilson gets pissed after whites hit along the boards . cant say it was a big win beating on a smaller guy

Posted by travist on March 15, 2017 at 01:27 PM

not a lot going on here, way to get some retribution wilson

Posted by Humper on March 15, 2017 at 08:23 AM

Wilson improves this season's record to 1-6 while not really doing a hell of a whole lot.

Posted by Mounty in NC on March 15, 2017 at 12:23 AM

Not a whole lot landing but this was all Wilson... and a 4 as most punches missed and the jersey jabs don't count for much

Posted by Clowes ABeast29 on March 15, 2017 at 07:56 AM

W for Tom "guys I have a big weenie" Wilson

Posted by BennyD on March 15, 2017 at 01:49 PM

4 and a draw. Nothing landed. I don't rate the "Jersey Jabs" as substantial.

Posted by rocky 1 on March 15, 2017 at 08:13 PM

Win for Wilson as White could just not get going!

Posted by GoonVisor on March 14, 2017 at 11:49 PM

Now I know why hockey players go 'business up front-party in the back'. Wilson on jersey jabs and a good right to to avenge a 'brutal' hit on Orr-prick. 4?

Posted by DARCY T on April 12, 2017 at 02:48 PM

i forgot that white is with wild now...edge wilson and 4

Posted by Jellyczar on March 15, 2017 at 10:34 AM

Wilson looks better in this fight ..finally. And White looked horrible as he couldn't wait to take Wilson down to the ice.

Posted by BooSanta on March 15, 2017 at 10:41 PM

Hippy, if ya don't cut that hair, Tom Wilson's going to shock the hockey world and tune you up. All be it, barely.

Posted by mrunohoo on March 20, 2017 at 02:47 AM

White should get consideration for the 'All-Hair Team'.

Posted by Great Murray on March 16, 2017 at 07:01 AM

Wilson does what he's paid to do. White had injured a Cap previously and then took a run at the same guy. Good on Wilson. Fight was all Wilson. White was trying to bail after the first couple of punches. White basically turtled with his pull down move.

Posted by gravy21 on March 15, 2017 at 05:21 PM

Sometimes it is a smart move to stick up for your teammate, no matter the score (goals). Fans who watched this game and know the history of White and Orpik would know there was a different score that needed settling.

Posted by EK65 on March 21, 2017 at 10:15 PM

This is the Tom Wilson we saw earlier in his career. Unfortunately we haven't seen much of him recently. Good enforcing against White. Wilson & 5

Posted by first 6 on March 16, 2017 at 10:46 PM

Wilson with no problem. White needs to change his name to black and blue

Posted by the kid 61 on March 15, 2017 at 09:51 AM

White is a tuff little guy ( remember a few seasons ago when he smashed matt martins noise in) but Wilson got the cheap jump and win in this uneventful scrap.

Posted by martinhickey on March 15, 2017 at 12:09 PM

Solid scrap. Willie looked to be really fired up. Maybe words were exchanged leading up to the twist. Willie comes to play every night. B

White took an uncalled cheap shot on Orpik along the boards after he had concussed him last season. Wilson set out to settle the score and ended up embarrassing him. After a couple shots, White wanted out and turtled his way through the rest of the mostly uneventful fight that just saw Wilson try to find a way to reach around and hit him until White dragged him down to the ice. Easy 4.

Wilson wins at last!

Posted by skyywise on March 15, 2017 at 12:48 PM

One of the few appropriate, "We fight now to stop chippy play for the rest of this game." fights, executed excellently by Wilson. Also important to put White in his place given his dangerous head-hunting play and injury to Orpik last season in the playoffs.

Posted by Detroit_Caps on March 15, 2017 at 07:40 AM

Wilson goes after a career rat and gets a misconduct for it. . . Whites just an agitator that's in the NHL to get power plays

Posted by Justafan1958 on March 15, 2017 at 08:41 AM

Wilson controlled the fight start to finish. Excellent job against a worthy opponent.

Posted by nait on March 15, 2017 at 09:26 AM

Wilson is a pos for this. He jumps White for no reason.

Posted by tpr1960 on March 15, 2017 at 08:07 AM

Smart move again by lame-brained wilson, up 3 and get an instigator. Idiot. P.S. That might be lame-brains first "W" of the year, and it wasn't too impressive.

Posted by Vito514 on March 15, 2017 at 01:35 AM

Bah. Nothing much here. nothing to do with this but does anybody know where i can find the jarred boll tribute they did for him in colombus?

Posted by BruinsAllDaySon on March 15, 2017 at 01:18 PM

White got a shit grip and never recovered from it - tried to weather the storm, but to no avail when switching hands & mailed it in. I think White wins this fight 8-9 times out of 10. This was a fluke.

Posted by CapsYapp on March 15, 2017 at 11:09 AM

White goes out and pulls a cheapy hit on Orpik, whom those two already have history, Willy has none of it. Glad he went right at it despite the team having a 3-zippy lead to protect his guy. White tried to fire back after being overpowered but knew it wasn't going to happen so he tapped on the pulldown

Posted by bruins34 on March 15, 2017 at 09:21 PM

Wilson def wins although he didn't really land much. love how some in here are pinning a "dangerous" style of play White against Orpik. lol Orpik is the ultimate headhunter who backs it up at a frequency less than a period.

Posted by bigmike53 on March 15, 2017 at 01:24 PM

Break out the bubbly and light some cigars! Tom Wilson won a fight. Narrowly won a fight. Lol.

Posted by brokenhead on March 21, 2017 at 02:09 AM

I've watched this "scrap" 3x already with the volume on, and then watched it 3x more with the volume off. It gives you perspective. These idiot homer announcers decided this fight. What were they watching? I saw maybe one glancing blow from Wilson, not the slaughter they made it out to be!! White was just moving his head outta the way from anything that might be coming from Wilson. Not to mention White looked gassed from a full 4th line shift before they tangled. I personally don't like either combatants, but c'mon WSH announcers, you are LAME at best. It's a DRAW completely, let alone a yawn fest. DRAW!! Why has Hockeyfights.com become so retarded in regards to peoples' voting and especially to most of the BS comments I almost can't stand anymore? If it's not retarded announcers calling the game, its the rest of the 'Tards commenting! Pathetic.
