simmonds manhandles him...two gordie howe's in one period is the first i've ever seen

Again, the Flyers are obviously taking their stupid pills as their best goal scorer decides to fight for no reason with a 5-0 lead. But he was SOOO nice about it, with a passionate hug and whispering sweet nothings in each others' ears at the end. I know, I know, we all love fights, the crowd cheered, it's a fighting website, etc. But this is a joke, not a fight. No, this is not 1973, announcer. It's reality TV, not a competitive sport.

non figter against a fighter .obvious result

Simmonds shows he has a merciful side to him. Surprised he didn't pound the snot out of Lee who wanted no part of him. Narrow win Simmonds for at least trying.

Non fight...Lee surrenders, what a wimp. Simmons should of pissed on his head, that way he could at least smell like a man.

2nd fight of the period...it's funny that lee got 40-50 pounds advantage on simmonds who took it easy on lee and got the win in uneventful fight

Hey wait,... your not Dale Weise !!!!!! I will hold on, and then jump on the ground when you get your right loose. Simmonds doesn't play, and All-Star game MVP, and another GH hat trick in one period. Love it.

Please someone tell Anders Lee he can't fight

Posted by wawablender on March 31, 2017 at 09:13 AM

WTF was Lee thinking?!

Posted by shrk33 on March 31, 2017 at 12:20 PM

mismatch

Wow, another Gordie trick for the Flyers. We are all having a flashback to the days of Tocchet and Lindros here. The actual fight was rather embarrassing for Lee getting rag dolled by the Wayne Train. Train got a puck slammed into his knee earlier this period, but he still fared well.

Not much of a fight and one sided here for Simmonds. For a guy 6.2 and only like 170 he sure can fight!

Posted by GreatMurray on October 03, 2018 at 06:49 AM

Simmonds just yanks the guy around and maybe lands 1...give him a win.

Lee finds out that hockey players are in fact tough guys. Simmonds is a prime example of that. All Simmonds & 3 in a fight that he appears to take easy on Lee. Wish Weise would have went with Lee instead.

Lee did the baby bitch ball.

Lee loses another fight

Posted by Great Murray on March 30, 2017 at 11:01 PM

Why in the world would Lee take a fight with Simmonds?

Posted by devilsadvocate on March 30, 2017 at 08:37 PM

I would have to give the W to Lee...because he survived! I knew how pathetic Lee is as a fighter, and honestly, when I saw the match-up, I didn't think he would come out in one piece.

Draw and a 2 as neither landed a single punch

Posted by gmr133 on April 03, 2017 at 01:02 PM

Meh. Everyone wants to twist Lee's helmet around his neck. Lee should stop doing this. Puss move by Weise.

Posted by lucic17 on March 30, 2017 at 09:19 PM

Insanely uneven matchup lives up to its billing. Lee never stood a chance, knew it and bailed accordingly. Waste of time. Guess he wishes Weise had dropped them instead of Simmonds. On a side note-I really miss the days when Simmonds fought regularly. He is tough, powerful and entertaining to watch with the mitts off. Obviously wishful thinking in today's lame NHL.

Lee wisely does his best Roberto Duran.

Simmonds phoned in that win.
