From a Ranger fan perspective, I don't think Simmonds was spot picking. D'Angelo kept coming at him and dropped the gloves first. If anything, Simmonds could have destroyed him but kind of let up.

So sick of the anti-Flyers commentary on NBC. Listening to NBC call a Flyers game is like watching either Fox News or CNN/MSNBC depending on your political perspective...everything that happens on the ice passes through a filter of bias before the announcers/commentators describe it

DeAngelo at least drops the gloves to back up his tough persona hes trying to play with out there. its a joke in a league like this hes able to get away with it on most nights without having to fight, 10 years ago he lasts 5 games and he gets knocked out for good in the 5th one. Simmonds easily is the top middleweight in the league and he played with deangelo before realizing deangelo was actually serious about taking him for 5 minutes at which point he switches hands and cakes him with one punch.
