how on earth can you say Peters won, he didn't land a hit he was just standing there. watch the video again but this time with your head out of your anal cavity, ok?

That wasnt even a fight the two of them should be cut tomorrow

Posted by sabresfan0809 on September 27, 2008 at 03:08 PM

why is peter's in the nhl? he can't fight or anything else.

Posted by Flames9339 on October 29, 2007 at 08:34 AM

Peter's looked like he was planning on letting him punch himself out, but roy drop to the ice for no reason. Draw since Roy didn't stay up long ehough to take any punches.

Posted by boxerlavean5 on October 29, 2007 at 10:42 PM

that was a bullshit fight, it was draw..but peters should have won. and those arent even punches by Andre either those are pussies punches..fuckin holding onto someones jersey and hitting them doesnt even count and it probably feels like a massage.

Posted by THop on October 29, 2007 at 11:54 AM

no good shots for either guy, then Roy falls down? Draw. Disappointing fight, and what's more disappointing is that was Peters first FM of the season...I sincerely hope this fight isn't an indicator as to how his season will be...

Posted by Juha82 on October 30, 2007 at 09:58 AM

Roy was active in this short fight. Peters waited his change to the end. He ended up well. If Roy would have land better punches, it was a narrow win to him. A draw in a weak fight.

Posted by mcgillion1981 on October 29, 2007 at 11:29 AM

I hate those rabbit punches.

Posted by brennank on October 29, 2007 at 01:51 PM

Peters should have pounded Roy!

Posted by Cendro on November 05, 2007 at 11:36 AM

Not a whole lotta fight into this one, just some pushing and shoving.

Posted by Mikkel H. on May 23, 2009 at 02:46 AM

two of my favorite guys going at it .. expected more of this fight where not much happens --draw.

Posted by cabsf15e on October 29, 2007 at 05:16 AM

Draw...pretty even fight, as they each got a couple shots in. Looked like Peters was trying to use the stiff-arm lock out with the intention of throwing that one big knockout punch over the top...didn't happen!!

Posted by gmathiak123 on October 30, 2007 at 10:09 AM

Absolutely no punches landed just some jabs by Roy and then he falls down and I usually don't call draws but this really was a draw. I wish it had been a real fight because Peters and Roy are two known for good bouts.

snoozefest. andre roy is the "winner"

Posted by Jack Schitt on October 30, 2007 at 10:00 AM

Crappy fight. Peters is back to his old "load up the right and wait" BS. Gotta love the John L. Sullivan stance though ... before he turns his back that is ....

Posted by slshbleed on October 29, 2007 at 05:56 PM

This is very disappointing. Throw a punch for Christ sake Peters ! Everyone has a fight where they can't really get started, but lately, it because they all go for the lock out rather than getting in position to throw and land.

Posted by bbbruin1 on October 30, 2007 at 07:08 PM

More of the same from Peters; grab, hold and wait for a lucky haymaker. At least Roy threw (& landed) some, though I hate the jersey jabs. As for anyone seeing that as a Peters win, watch it again. He threw a total of 3 swings and missed with all

Posted by Riomouse911 on October 31, 2007 at 11:40 PM

Jersey Jabs - 10 Punches landed -0

Posted by Remyy on November 20, 2007 at 09:40 AM

peters doesnt do anything.

Posted by shrk33 on October 29, 2007 at 04:35 AM

Roy, a bit disappointing bout for Peters. He;s better than that.

Posted by Formerref on October 29, 2007 at 04:34 PM

Looks like Peters was waiting to throw a bomb, in the mean time he took a few jersey jabs and lost this fight. Roy win.

Posted by bostonrs555 on October 31, 2007 at 10:37 PM

buffalo homers are the worst! Peters wins the square off and thats it! nothing fight, but Roy gets the nod for the jabs to Peters' melon! Roy then proceeds to trip on Peters' skirt.

Posted by cashman rules on October 29, 2007 at 05:13 PM

Peters need to get out of buffalo and go to a team that will let him fight more

Posted by Cid on October 29, 2007 at 03:41 AM

haha.... peters was a punching bag!!!

Posted by bigdude on October 29, 2007 at 12:49 PM

I can't imagine how anybody could say Peters won that. All e did is what he usually does, hide his head and hopes he connects with a haymaker. Roy kicked his ass.

Posted by trpaulson on October 30, 2007 at 03:33 PM

Roy landed more punches before losing his balance, which seems to be a problem lately.

Posted by brad houghton on October 29, 2007 at 04:19 PM

guys i am not a Roy fan and like Peters but the fact anyone could call this a draw or win Peters is shocking......i thought i must have missed something so i went back and counted Roy threw 4 rights and might have landed 1 he threw 12 lefts and landed 8 one that knocked my man Peters helmet off!! Peters threw 2 rights and neither one landed...so even in the fantacy world of "only rights count even if they don't land".. Roy still wins 4-2 how the He11 does anyone get a draw or a win Peters...he did nothing except hang in and wait for Roy to slip...?? this takes the expression homer to a new level!! i love Peters but maybe while you homer nut cases are at it you could go back and watch Rolfe Schultz and score win Rolf

Posted by huddles on October 29, 2007 at 07:37 PM

whoever thought peters won that fight is either, 1 a buffalo homer, 2. a bllind and dumb buffalo homer, 3 just blind and dumb roy wins not to exciting

Posted by mikebflorida on October 29, 2007 at 09:27 AM

From johnsond4- "Peters won clearly. He won in a smart way, he kept his right hand free the whole time then unleashed when Roy seemed to have the advantage. Peters decked him." Since I watched the fight live, I can simply say that you are dead wrong. Which fight were you watching? The one where O'Brien runs over the referee? Did you mistake those 2 for Peters and Roy? It wasn't a great fight by any stretch but Peters didn't even hit Roy cleanly at all. Andre jersey jabbed the crap out of Peter's and hit him with one decent shot. Done. Roy in a landslide. Peter's has this annoying fight style where he stiff arms the opponent and waits for an opening which, in this case, never came. Roy is a smart guy and has been beaten by Peter's before. he clearly has learned from previous fights that Peter's fights like a scared boxer and while that might be a higher percentage way of fighting, it sure isn't glamorous and obviously from this tilt, it doesn't always work.

Posted by BattleAxe13 on October 29, 2007 at 09:43 PM

Peters really sucks at fighting. The only solid punch he had was when Roy fell.

Posted by BStreetBullies on October 29, 2007 at 05:28 PM

Roy was much more active landing jersey jab after jersey jab, Peters was looking for the straight KO punch, I have to give this to Roy being much more active, and landing the only punches, whether they were jabs or not.

Posted by TBLightningGuru on November 11, 2007 at 09:52 AM

Atta boy Andre Its a shame you cant pick 0 for how good was peters at the time of the fight

Posted by Sukoshi84 on October 29, 2007 at 04:32 AM

how the hell can you say peters won..........? he only threw 1 punch as they were going down roy got in about 7-8 nice shots.

Posted by dave25 on November 01, 2007 at 12:19 PM

Not a great fight but how could anyone think Peters won?

Posted by luckysod04 on October 29, 2007 at 03:44 AM

looked like they were about to tango in the beginning.

Posted by Dijo on October 30, 2007 at 08:10 PM

ANDRE ROY seems to be doing a little better this year (so far anyway). It's nice to see. ANDREW PETERS didn't look so good, but the fight was over a lot quicker than he thought it would. He was waiting to throw and land a few bombs and then ROY slipped and went down. I think PETERS would have won this one if ROY could have stayed on his skates. The left jabs look so weak. I only like to see them if they are a set up for a right bomb. Either way, PETERS did nothing so ROY for the win.

Posted by troyt on October 30, 2007 at 11:05 AM

hey peters! to wim ya must throw more than 1 punch. winner is roy

Posted by bobnknoxville on October 29, 2007 at 04:37 PM

Roy was getting in the short jabs not much in the way of a big punch though.

Posted by chris_mcallister on October 30, 2007 at 11:06 PM

Jersey jabs don't win fights. DRAW

Posted by dunno on October 29, 2007 at 09:03 PM

Peters did nothing. Roy landed quite a few jabs on Peters and it was a slip at the end of the fight. Win Roy

Posted by Bamsenaattori on October 29, 2007 at 02:55 AM

Peters wasnt good. Nice hits by Roy and clear win. I like these Buffalo-fans who said that fighter with 0 hits landed and almost 10 hit taken win fight ;D

Posted by the4thliner on November 02, 2007 at 01:42 AM

Peters seemed to be waiting for the "caught you by surprise knock out blow." Trouble with that is that he was gettin' his pummeled while he was waiting. Roy flat out drops this this procrastinator.

Posted by Dovermv on November 02, 2007 at 01:15 PM

I love how all these people say "jersey jabs don't win a fight" and yet I am willing to bet they have never been hit by one. A jab is a jab anywhere in fighting. It is not a heavy punch; however on the judges score card in any ligament fighting like boxing or the UFC, a jab can win fights. Not every fight is going to have a knockout.

Posted by dandyrubich on November 13, 2007 at 09:18 PM

Roy OWNED Peters

Posted by stpapa on October 29, 2007 at 04:27 PM

ROY SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by jerdonf on October 29, 2007 at 03:04 AM

No clean shots for Peters. Just stood there getting Jabbed in the face and then threw one haymaker that made unclean contact. Roy wins.

Posted by PeaHarris on October 29, 2007 at 11:41 AM

This was a terrible fight and not worth arguing over. Some jersey jabs, then all fall down.

Posted by Wolf_eyes on October 30, 2007 at 03:05 AM

Posted by jackmcc100 on October 29, 2007 at 07:34 PM

Gotta love Peter's stance. Nothing much in this fight

Posted by vrodack on October 30, 2007 at 03:05 AM

couples jabs for the win for Roy

Posted by wallysy1 on October 30, 2007 at 12:41 AM

peters wins... tnaveler--try watching the left that comes in by peters near the end--and then the right that knocks roy down. roy got threw about 3 jersey jabs --but nothing of any interest. thats how you win? kicked his ass? are you kidding--do you think peters even had a bump the next day anywhere--seriously--you guys missed the fight cause you think that a jersey jab is painful?

Posted by j0hnsond4 on October 28, 2007 at 11:50 PM

Peters won clearly. He won in a smart way, he kept his right hand free the whole time then unleashed when Roy seemed to have the advantage. Peters decked him.

peters threw the puches roy the jabs win peters
