Armstrong took exception to the Hip Check then Ballard pretty much kicked Armstrongs ass. Props to both fighters for taking the helmets off before the fight though.

Ballard dishes out some of the best hip checks in the game, and it's great to see he will back up his own hit. He was pursued to fight and he still had the class to take off the visor other players should take note. Weak fight but win to Ballard

I don't think Ballard was trying to go that low. His skates were pretty far apart and got off balance on the hit. Absence of malice or not, it was low. Ballard threw a lot more punches, but did any of them land. Ballard in a so-so fight.

Ballard just demonstrates how we were taught to throw a hipcheck as kids. Textbook. What does that assclown of a color guy want? Does he prefer dirty checks from behind, elbow to the head, run a guy with the stick, or maybe good, old-fashioned Craig Berube board? Hip to hip, that is how to play good, physical hockey. And Ballard in a clear decisive win in a below average bout.

Whoa whoa hold on here. Kaspy was the master at the clean hip check, the best next to Colin Cambell. Some of Kaspy's other hits were definetly a little on the dirty side. Now for the fight, yeah I'm a Pens fan but Armstrong should not drop the gloves. That nose for one is too much of a target. Winner Ballard and that was a sweet hip check.
