im an islander fan, it was a good fight but simon lost. roys last punch he connected with dazed simon and he fell shortly after. look at the tape again you'll see it. Simon is getting old and cant punch as quick as he used to. the islanders need a new enforcer next year it appears to me simon can no longer protect his team nor that he even enjoys fighting anymore.

Ok, first thing is Roy won the fight. Simon didn't slip, he didn't trip, he didn't hit his skate on a banana peel, he got punched down boys and girls. I know this is pretty much opinionated stuff but some of you are so clueless. Win for Simon? Huh? WTF? He landed like 3 decent punches which Roy took and fired back equally good punches throughout the fight and then threw the last 3 punches of the fight to easily earn the win. No retarded "edge", no decision, but a win. Jesus, give the guy a break, he has improved tremendously since last year, fights everyone and has done much better this year. Simon is still a good fighter and threw some overhand left bombs, a FEW of which connected.

Simon dominated most of the fight till the last punch, which definately landed. but roy needed the literal KO to win this one in my book, which he didnt, simon got up fine. this was a classic case where one fighter dominates, then the other gets the takedown.

I know roy got in the last power shot--but thats when they both were tired. Power shots after 1 minute are not as powerful as early ones...and even though Simon went down.it was as much from fatigue as from the punch. Im giving it to Simon --as he demolished him early and if I had to take a guess----Roy is hurting in the morning--much more than Simon.
