Cote got his ass kicked. He never even connected. Case closed.
Roy with the best punch, but Cote did enough well for the draw.
During the exchange, Riley caught him flush in the chops. THAT's when Roy pulled him in. Watch closely and you'll see Roy hugging while Cote tries to slither out. Roy landed a couple/few in the beginning so a draw at best. To the guy that said, "Cote got his ass kicked", have you ever watched a hockey fight before or does mommy make you turn it off?
Roy landed more shots, but he wanted out early and opted for the takedown. Draw.
AGAIN...this Cote kid is one tough cookie. AGAIN...I hate the Flyers. Did you see Roy go for the grab after he took a nice shot?!?! That's p*ssy sh*t! Cote didn't have a problem going blow for blow...but Roy obviously did. I hope Orr busts his face open tonight. Rangers Rule.
good even fight fun to watch.
Ok fight
Cote with the "W"
My vote doesn't change from seeing it live. DRAW I don't know how in the world people decide a winner off of that. Each landed a couple shots and fell down. How do you give a win for that? Baffling.
this was a solid draw. Roy landed big early but cote also landed a solid left that made Roy hold tight. Cote is a tough kid with an iron jaw.
It's hard to notice at first. But right after Roy lands those good punches, Cote lands a couple solid ones himself. Then nothing much happend after that. Gotta go with a draw on this one.
I love my Flyers and God Bless Cote because he has a big heart but HE CAN'T FIGHT!!!!!. Please God, get us someone who can actually win a scrap.
Will Riley ever play a game without a black eye???? I can see by the voting he has a big family!
Roy with slightest of an edge. Mostly for the first punch landed which was the cleanest landed punch in the fight.
clear win for Roy
win for roy. cote wanted it over, unsuccessully went for the takedown after catching some shots.
Very close but Roy landed more. Cote strong at the very end , not counting the takedown (those don't mean anything in a hockey fight).
Ripper: The problem with not having a heavyweight is: let's say you're a goon on the other team playing the flyers, you want to take a shot at a star player, you're more likely to do it with Riley Cote being your "enforcer" than Brashear. The whole idea for an enforcer is to intimidate and protect your players. If I take a shot at Briere, I won't mind getting a nuggie on my head from Cote. But I'd not take a run at Briere if Brashear is breathing down my neck.
nice scrap
I like Cote and he will get better but Roy wins again
Roy early cote late............its simple, none of this phantom roy missed and held on BS its a win for Roy., cote didnt win if you think that then take your homer self else where......cote nailed him on the chin, Roy can take a shot..........but thats it cote with one shot....Roy with about 4-5
i was at this game and i am not being a homer but i gave the win to roy. he had a strong beginning and was a little more aggressive. i was kind of hoping that roy would've done better against a sub-par fighter like cote.
Cote throws his body into a Bolts defense men and Roy offers a challange. Cote accepts and they have a short quare off. Roy starts off the bout with 5 rights, 2 that land flush, two that hit shoulder and one to the helmet. Cote lands two lefts and Roy pulls him in close to switch hands. They trade lefts in tight, mostly catching helmet. Roy lands short upper cuts as Cote lands one over the top and they fall to the ice. Definetly didnt see Cote buckle Roy's knees.
great fight. very close. Edge Roy
Good shot by Roy right off the bat. He seemed to be more active and aggressive. Win Roy
Roy in a close one.
I love how they both dropped the gloves so far away from the play. They knew they were gonna fight. The 2nd fight of the season between these two. Was at this game, much bettter in person, as always.
Roy has Cote's number
WE WILL ROY YOU
Draw. Neither one really rocked the other.
These guys love to go. I bet these to would be very dangerous as line mates. win for Roy, JUST.
good fight here, i give the win to roy but not by much at all. both fighters landed big punches but i think roy had more. i like cote so kudos to him for fighting a proven tough guy and holding his own.
roy all the way, more punches landed, threw more as well
OK! Fight! Nothing to talk about
It looked like roy got the edge at first but seeing it in slo-mo Cote actually landed the better punches. roy hit shoulder pads and helmet where Cote hit jaw and cheekbone. win for Cote.
Close fight, I think Cote threw the punches that counted towards the end. I got to give the edge to Cote.
ROY DIDN'T REALLY GET ANY GOOD SHOTS IN , COTE IS FIGHT PRETTY GOOD RIGHT NOW.
very close...looked like cote buckled roy's knees for a second early on.
Slight edge to Cote for the 3 solid connections right before the feared bear hug. Roy gives a good look at the camera after he takes the second blow.
roy got the first shot in, but once cote started landing them roy bear hugged him then tackled him, cote will swing back and forth like rockem sockem robots when guys like peters and roy dont bear hug him
Really good bout! Cote is impressing me. At 6'1'' 210lb. you wouldn't expect him to be an enforcer but he is a good one. He can play the game well enough too. To Iraqvet, i gotta say im a huge flyers fan too. and i don't want donald Brashear back because he asks for way too much money for what he is. So what that we don't have a major heavyweight.
Roy threw and landed more. Is this Philthadelphia's answer to the departed Ben "the ultimate coward" Eager? I must say it is an upgrade, but still nothing to be over excited about. Roy gets the win but Cote wasn't dominated.
I don't see how Roy gets a win, after he got popped in the face with a good one he closed up shop and did his best Stortini hug impression.
Cote wins this one. Gotta watch closely. The rights Roy threw in the biginning were not connecting. Roy's first lead off right was good but that was really it. Cote gets this one but not by much.
Cote sucks
"Roy landed more"?? To what shoulder pads, helmit, and other misc. hockey gear? Riley buckled his friggin knees and Roy went into huggy mode. As far as "Cote sucks", tell that to some of his opponents. Ask Andrew Peters and some of the others. I'd say Riley had a good christmas break. His play lately helped Philly management make that decision on shipping Ben Eager to Chicago.
