close fight.. the beggining of the fight was clowe.. Reitz was better in the second half of the fight..very close slight edge to Clowe, but lets call it a draw
I don't think he had all the time in the world to think about his visor to be honest. He has been in a few scraps here and there but it isn't exactly his job to fight. People who seldom fight don't think about their visor.
Called it a draw. But if someone starts it with a visor they should man up and take of the helmet.
nice show by both, Clowe was only slightly better. Not enough for the edge.
Clowe is a little girl for fighting Reitz. Everyone now is avoiding Boogaard
I agree with taking the visor off, but to be honest when a fight happens this quick you dont want to take a chance at getting hit while trying to take it off. I know most guys would be willing to wait. However, some of these guys jump at the fight so quickly that they may not even realize that the other guy was going to take his visor off.
Draw.
both land a couple, draw maybe edge clowe
pretty good scrap, have to call it a draw
Both boys landed some good shots.....I give this one a draw.
Well Reitz kinda just let that bounce off his head
Gotta go with the guy with the Gordie Howe Hat Trick! Clowe can handle himself when the needs calls for it.
Clowe with the nod......decent fight
clowe with the win, reitz starts a fight while wearing a visor, wow thats a tough man right their.
Kudos to the rookie for going against clowe Clowe wins fight but it sure was a good one to watch
memo to reitz. lose the visor. would of called it a draw if it wasn't for the visor. Clowe with a "W" I want an additional 2 minute penalty for fighters with visors...how bout it?
Pretty even scrum, advantage Clowe. No real bid shots. Reitz held his own and got a couple pokes in towards the end.
I've got to gice it to Clowe on the visor alone.. He got a couple nice ones in and I love it when the instigator get's his can kicked!
There is no way anyone should give this fight to Reitz. That's not how the NHL fights. If you want to see the way to fight with a visor, then you need only look over to Douglas Murray on the Sharks defense - throw the gloves down, pull the helmet off, then you can fight. Even though Reitz threw some really solid shots, the visor thing is unacceptable. In fact it should've been a misconduct penalty, and probably would've been called that if Clowe hadn't ripped the helmet off Reitz head in the middle of the fight. Clowe still edged out the win overall, got the Gordie Howe Hat Trick, won the game and sent a message to the Wild bench.
Love seeing visor-boys get their due. Reitz fights well and was correctly responding to a goalie whack, but Clowe dominates. and once the helmets came off, Reitz looked scared.
Take off your helmet, face shield wearer.
Reitz takes the loss. He initiated the fight and kept the visor on. Punk.
Another good scrap. Gotta give Clowe the edge here.
Clowe gets the slight edge, but alot of credit to the rookie.
Good scrap. Give Clowe the Win. Great showing by Reitz.
"I rather have a Gordie Howe hat trick over a natural any day" Sitting in the locker room with bloody knuckles, "I realized half way through i should of took his visor off." -Ryane Clowe Gotta love this guy.
Clowe takes the win in this one. For a guy who doesn't scrap much, he handled Reitz and landed the better shots.
Win Clowe. I hate it when guys act tough wearing a visor. there should be an extra 2 for it.
Gave the nod to clowe. Word of advice for Reitz, gotta dump the lid if you got a visor on. He definitly lost points in my eyes for that one. Good job for clowe getting the gordie howe hat trick.
Man those spur of the moment fights are usually so much better! I gave the slight edge to Clowe, but great fight from both.
I give this one to Clowe. Reitz got in two good ones but not enough. About the visor, real tough guys will stop in the middle of a fight and ditch the lid. It happens all of the time in the minors where visors are mandatory. You just tell the other guy and he'll stop, you toss the helmet, and you square back up.
Take away points from Reitz for not removing his helmet. Helmets are for Euro wussies. Even with the visor in the way, Clowe controlled the fight and won a close one.
Pretty spirited fight. Reitz had him with some good shots in the early rounds (pre-visor removal), then Clowe controlled it after that. I gave a slight victory to Clowe on points. Pretty much a draw, but I docked a point from Reitz for getting all his digs in while his visor was on. Clowe has been fighting well ever since getting his bell rung by Ryan Malone.
Not too bad of a scrap, pretty clear win by Clowe, but props to the kid!
Clowe won. Reitz couldn't take off his face mask so Clowe takes it off and still manages to get in some good hits
it was really good
W- Clowe.
I was at the game tonight. Reitz was throwing his weight around being a thug, aggitating the Sharks. From my view the crowd was HOT and Clowe did better than what the TV shows. Clowe wins this one. After this fight, the Wild lost composure taking lots of penalties. Even if you vote Reitz, the Sharks responded and won the game. *** People are ripping Reitz because of the visor. If a fighter has the opportunity to take his helmet w/ visor off, the fighter must take it off or he is given a misconduct. But what are you going to do in the middle of the fight? "tell your opponent, hold on let me take off my helmet." Sharks Douglas Murray, if they step back to fight, will take his helmet w/ Visor off But if someone already engaged, he can't take his helmet off.
take your visor off pussy... Clowe with the win ahah... even though reitz did land some good shots... hes still a punk
Almost funny to hear Reitz described as a "rookie." He's been playing for the AHL Houston Aeros for what seems like forever. He's a tough guy but Clowe gets the edge in this one. Several of Reitz's shots were on the money, though.
Clowe is a stud!!!
Way to go Clowie! He could possibly have had waited one more second to draw the instagator, and the minor for instigating with a shield. but he said no ill just kick your ass now, and be done with you! haha After the game he was elected 1st star, and said he would rather get a gordie howe hat trick than a natrual hat trick any day! CLOWE IS THE MAN! i still want to see him get revenge on malone on Jan 13!
Close Fight I think the end played into Clowe Winning.
fight with a visor and you lose.
How can you call this anything but a draw? Jesus homers.....and about the visor. When you start a fight; you aren't even thinking about your freaking helmet. Take it from me; I play junior hockey and wear a visor.
decent fight from reitz, wouldnt have expected that he could scrap a bit.
I have to give the nod to Reitz, the right that landed on Clowe's skull made my monitor shake LOL! Fighting with a visor is either cowardly or smart either way, he held his own and landed some great shots!
Not bad for the rookie close fight but reitz kept it up longer.
Looked pretty even at first but Clowe edged a win at the end. Reitz instigated the fight with Clowe. That isn't avoiding Boogard... although Clowe would be wise to avoid Boogaard.
I became a fan of Clowe the player when he seemingly beat my Flames into submission last year. I had never seen him fight, and I'm pleasantly surprised. Though I did call it a draw.
draw
Visors are pussy.
good fight, both landed some good shots.even.
Reitz gets in a few good shots, but he loses because he starts a fight while wearing his visor. Wuss.
There should be some way to deal with guys who fight with a visor on. I have no idea how that could be regulated, or even if it could, but it's absurd when one guy has one and the other doesn't. Win Clowe.
Clowe looked like he was in control right from the beginning.
clowe needs 2 score more,it seems 2 build his confidence & make him win fights...
Now thats how we are used to clowe fighting!
I was at the game and this fight revived an already excited crowd. It was pretty even, but Clowe gets the win in this one. Good fight, and awesome the Clowie got the Gordie Howe Hat Trick.
Good overall fight
It was long.
A slight edge to Reitz.
