i would call it a TKO by Godard he landed some real bombs...i know these guys have fought allot so i assume they are more closely matched than this fight would indicate.....Mac will need to work on the lock D a bit...he has stepped up a class in fighters and he paid the price last night. i am guessing he will give more than he gets this year but last night was his turn to take it

Clearly MacIntyre was handled here by Godard, but people need to remember he's an accomplished fighter in the minors, and has wins over Vandermeer and Cote in the NHL thus far. Wait and see how he does against other heavyweights in the big league before closing the book on him. I suspect he's going to do just fine. His playing abilities, not his fighting skills, will likely be the deciding factor as to how long he stays in the NHL.

I love this fight Goddard hammered him Edmonton fans have a huge hardon for this guy but as soon as he goes against a serious heavy weight he gets dominated.reminds me of Boogey man all he has is size on his side as soon as he fights anyone near the size of him he has serious problems just a big dummie lol.

Mac has done ok against the smaller scrappy guys he can hold at arm's length, but it was clear in this fight that against someone of relatively equal size, he has no defense. He looked like a sitting duck, with his head just begging to be drilled by one monster right after another. And so it did, and down he went. If they fought every game in junior, I suspect he already knew what was coming anyhow. It must have been deja vu wobbling in the box. Oh well, the show was good while it lasted, eh "Mac?"

What a beautiful fight to watch. Macintyre really took some knuckles to the bean in a most standup kind of way, but Godard took him down and sooooooo obviously gets the win. When you drop an opponent to his knees with a punch that is pretty decisive. This site used to be pretty good with an occasional nimrod but this year there has been some really poor voting going on.

I like Macintyre coz he doens't wrestle but one thing he doens't do is move his head. his game is he takes a few punches then land a few of his and drop guys. Only problem with that is when you are up against big true heavies, if you catch first, you will also fall first. Good job on godard for his agressive style. Always a fun guy to watch. Hopefully BicMac learn to have more defense but props for popping up right away to continue. Others would just die like fedoruk or vandemeer but more urgency is needed in the big leaque.
