good contact by staal.
Where is Boogaard? I was counting on him to be here for this game. Staal actually lands a few but loses his balance and falls down before Reitz can do anything. A tentative draw or edge to Staal for STICKING up for himself. (I will get beaten for that one)
WOW! This was lame as hell, but what is even more lame is guys giving ANYONE a win in this fight. Staal threw a couple and then fell down. Reitz never even had a chance to hit him until he was on the ice. DRAW, people, its ok to say that there was no winner once in a while!!
Tonight was the night of the goal scorers pretending they can fight. I like it.
It's tough to call these kinds of fights...I would like to select N/A, but it's not an option. Staal threw a couple but then fell on his face...never gave Reitz to prove himself in this battle. I count these as a draw since it only lasted 10 seconds.
staal lands a couple and falls.draw
staal with activity but doens't land a good punch. Reitz took over later. no winnert.
Good comeback from Staal, LOVE the original ''blue with a touch of blue and some blue trim'' uniforms.
Credit to Reitz for taking his helmet off. Classy move Close to call, Staal landed a few punches to the shoulder of Reitz. Reitz came back with a good shot near the end. Afer Staal fell like a little girl. At the end of the fight, Reitz got up like nothing hurt. Draw / Slight edge to Staal
CRAP Fight. But no way you can give the edge to Staal, by saying he landed more punches because STAAL fell down before Reitz even hada chance to punch back.
yawn, throw a couple and fall to the ground so u dont get hit edge stall with his fantastic style
Draw. Staal might have gotten 3 bunches in before he decided he didn't want to take a punch..but props to Reitz for throwing off the visor and not tagging Staal when he fell down.
Win for Reitz because he was able to take one of Pittsburgh's better players out for five minutes. The fight was crap but Minnesota got the advantage.
Staal lands the punches but edge to Reitz for trying to keep it to more then a wrestling match.
Might have actually been a decent fight if Stall could learn to keep his balance. Give the edge to Reitz for not falling down.
bad fight, edge to rietz because if you look closely he got in a few small hits. not quite as good as the hits from staal, but he took his helmet off like a man, and put the guy in the baby blue to the ice with i nice hit at the finish.
Give it to Reitz, Staal landed a few punches, but they were ineffective. He lost balance and thats one of the most important parts of a fight. If the referees hadn't broken it up, Reitz could have pummeled him on the ground.
short bout tough to determine winner
good to see reitz go at it again
bad fight, staal wins because he lands a couple
I'm a Wild fan, and Staal did win the fight. I do agree its funny how Staal gets a few punches in then falls down, but hey, what do you do. The one thing Staal loses credit IMO is standing up for Matt Cooke. The guy deserves getting popped in the face with anything.
Staal will NEVER be a fighter...nor should he be.....but he got 4 shots to zero on Reitz (maybe a half shot while Staal was falling)....win to Jordan Staal. But really a wussy fight. Staal falls all the time,,,,even without a guy fighting him. Larague falls during every damn fight and still gets the win. Too bad Boogyman was a healthy scratch....he needed a rematch with Godard.
Edge Staal. Crap fight. Nice to see a guy with a visor take his helmet off. Staal should have done the same - cheap, in my book.
Not much here. Staal did enough for a WIN.
If Jordan threw punches that didn't land then yes it is a draw but he landed a few good shots then lost balance. Give him a slim win, not a domination by any means, just a win. Sometimes fights don't last long. What if Staal knocked him out with one punch would you still say it was a draw because only one punch was thrown?
The second throw by Staal connected but no damage done. Props to Reitz for dumping the visor. A slight edge for Staal for being more active.
Not much of a fight. Would have gotten interesting if Staal had kept his balance. Give Stall the win for landing a couple of shots and being willing to go.
No premeditaion here. Just Staal getting pissed for getting a stick in the face. You can tell he's no fighter (yet) but he does a servicable job getting some jabs in. W in crap fight.
Staal with the advantage at the end. Many years of practive on the farm with 3 brothers.
reitz starts off really strong and than staal starts whipping his ass
Edge to Staal for landing a couple shots I guess. Too bad the dummy had to fall down.
BEWARE OF THE GRONK!!!!!!!!
Staal landed 3 solid shots. W goes to him
o.k. not what you luine up to watch but o.k staal gets the decision.
DAMPLAND - The reason Reitz didn't have a chance to punch back was because he was getting hit too much by Staal, thats why Staal gets the edge in the fight, not sure how you would score a fight but I do know it' makes no sense
have to give staal the decision he landed the better punches.
Could of been something better if Staal didn't fall. He got way to excited and the height difference might have been the main reason why he fell that awkwardly. Win to Staal, but not a impressive W.
Win Staal.
man, i didn't know or think that Jordan Staal was a fighter. good for him. :)
Reitz loses to a goal scorer what a garbage fighter hahahaha.
surprising to see staal fight like that. win to staal due to early punches. reitz is a pussy for hittin staal when he's down after he just got his jaw smacked a few times.
Staal did pretty good.
Honestly thought Staal was gonna be whooped, but after that little grappiling match, Staal landed 3 or 4 good hard rights before being thrown down. Not bad for a first timer, and way better then Toews.
Yah umm Reitz was, you know I cann't even put it into words how bad he was!! Jordan did amazing as always!! I swear if Reitz would have put any wounds on Jordan's face I'd kill him! Jordan is Beautiful~!
Staal. More punches landed.
Staal gets the decision. Not a bad scrap for a non-fighter.
STALL
three punches then fall down. nice win
I refuse to give Stail the win. He throws a few then buckles his own knees. Try hanging in there next time, weak sauce.
hardly a fight. Staal threw a few punches that didnt seem to do anything and was thrown to the ice pretty easily. i say draw
staal gets it, but stick to shooting jeez
it looked like reitz was holding back
edge to reitz with the finish
How could anyone say Staal wins? He throws a few punches and then lays down before getting pummeled. What a surprise that the turtle Cooke wouldn't do anything.
js win in a sucktastic 1
Staal with a slim win. I am a Wild fan, but I don't think Reitz is a good fighter. I wish Staal would have stayed up to make the fight last longer.
Eh, not a very good scrap. But neither of these guys can fight. I would much rather see Staal scoring goals with his hands, than punching with them. Give Staal points for throwing a few punches, and maybe landind 1. And Reitz for the takedown. (really more of a slip, after missing on a punch by Staal) Very tiny edge to Staal, but maybe closer to a draw.
neither is good at fighting. staal was, IMO the clear winner here. or would have been had he stayed up a little longer. edge or points for a takedown? screw that. i'm a wild fan btw.
Not a great fight, but anybody saying Reitz had the edge here is just being a terrible homer. Here I'll break it down for the slow folks... A fight consists of two people throwing punches at each other. The person that connects on more of those punches, generally, wins the fight. And to go even a step further, when one person lands all of the punches in the entire fight, even if there aren't many, then he is clearly the winner. So, yeah... not the best fight, but Staal won folks.
Staal with the win. Reitz with weak shots in close, but, Staal got the best of it when they seperated
Staal with the easy win. Reitz did not through a punch until Staal was on the ice.
staal threw some nice ones but it ended too early for it to be legit
Staal wins.
Decent Scrap for a shortie.
