I had to watch this one a few times to get a better opinion. Belak with the obvious win for getting the one good punch. But the hit that started it and kept getting discussed by the announcers wasn't what I would call clean. It was more like very borderline. Instead of dropping his shoulder and keeping his elbow in, Belak does just the opposite and even follows through with his elbow to finish him off. It doesn't look like a deliberate dirty elbow, which is why it wasn't called I'm assuming, but it was certainly deserving of a challenge which he got from Janssen. That's just good reffing right there. Keep the flow of the game going and let the guys settle it amongst themselves. Heck, whoever took that hit might figure out what playing with your head up actually means.

Coming from a huge Blues/Janssen fan, definite win by Belak, but all this KO talk is just ridiculous. Belak hit Janssen in the forehead and last time I was in that position my hand hurt worst than the other guys forehead I'm sure. Janssen was off balance, and Belak landed a decent punch that sent him to the ice, end of story. No KO, no TKO. A knock down is all at was.

Clear win to Belak I don't hate or have a favorite among any of the fighters I just try to give a common sense review without being prejudiced unlike a lot of the people who do reviews. Oh, by the way ,what is wrong with trying to stay out of your opponents reach? Only an idiot would stand there and let someone continue to hit them in the face without moving. Laraque uses the spin-o-rama technique , Janssen uses the duck and chuck approach.Some use the jersey jab to unbalance their opponent and then try for the bomb. Even the best fighters have always used some kind of defense. A fighter with no technique or defense will wind up on their backside in EVERY fight.

I will be the first to complain about fighting after a good, clean hit. That being said, Jansen may have responded to the fact that it was Perron that was taken out. Belak is like 2 feet taller than Perron, and flattens the kid. Anyway, maybe Perron will keep his head up from now on. Kings5075 > Belak clearly won, but a KO? He landed a good one that stunned Cam and then fell on top of him. Hardly a KO in my opinion.

Belak has seriously impressed me this year. Some major wins over some seriously tough guys. I liked that he didn't rely entirely on the swinging and left handed jersey jab this time, like usual. Good showing from Belak with the KO! Nice to see Cam flat on his ass infront of his parents. What a great freaking hit by Wade Belak as well!! As for Janssen, I have never been a fan of his. He throws a lot of shots that miss, grabs a hold of the jersey and refuses to let go while cowering away as far as possible, preferably out of reach of his opponent. He holds off the ref and does his impression of Hulk Hogan hulking up only to swing at air a few more times with a stupid grin on his face. And if we're real lucky his jersey and shoulder pads come off and he gives us a flex on his way to the box. *sigh. Thank you for the KO, Mr. Belak!

reason number 1 the leaf should never given him up, i been a huge belak fan since his days in calgary . he showed how good he is by changing his style to catch jansen off guard. and in regard to the comment about orr and goddard bein top guys in nhl i dunno belak is right there if not i give a slight edge to belak just due to how long he been doin this and that fact that no one has put orr down as many times. not to mention in 05 fighting brashear the following game after being high stick and got stitches by nose and eye, even brashear was surprised when belak dropped the gloves. and the last thing that makes belak stand out is his personality anyone who saw " wade a min" can see what quality person he would be and fun guy for in the dresing room. also many may no not know about is diminishing skill set , if more icetime was given early in career instead bein labled as a tuff guy i truly think we would have developed into a top 4 or 5 d man.

Love how the ref pushed them out to open ice away from the fallen player but didn't stop the fight! As for the fight, Belak owns. They trade a few haymakers then Wade brings the noise by switching to the left and scoring a knockdown. Janssen is a tought guy so I can only imagine how hard Belak hit him. Convincing win for Belak. Great hit on the little guy to get things going. He manned up, after the big hit he just stood there waiting for the retaliation. Thats hockey, have no problems with that, both guys doing what they are paid to do. Belak's transition from right to left was smooth and lethal for Mr. Janssen. Gave it to Belak and scored it a 7. How anyone scores this a draw or win for Janssen is beyond my comprehension. I'm no fan of either but I still call it how I see it. Even when it is a bout with one of my faves. When someone gets smoked they get smoked, end of story.

He may not be leading the league in FMs but he does what needs to be done when it needs to be done. Hope he finds his way back to Toronto before long.

Belak with win. When the predators lost hordichuk last year I was a little nervous. Tootoo is a great fighter but we needed a heavy weight to replace hordi. We went through a couple of guys before belak came around and now after this fight I am completly confident we have found a keeper for 2 to 3 years.

it's one thing to start a fight for any given hit. it's another if that hit is delivered by a 6'5" goon on a much smaller guy that is a borerline elbow and is delivered with enough force that the little guy has trouble getting up (i.e. if a hit might have injured him). this is an acceptable case for janssen to step in... ...and so he stepped in. and then belak took him out. tko.
