Andre Roys Helmet gets the victory here. Not a single clean punch landed. Crappy fight.

Draw. if you look closely Roy just lost his balance , it was not the hit that did it.

pretty even fight between these 2 guys.

Rupp wins, but marginally - this was no landslide victory and those who think so should look again.

I was going to say Rupp rebounded with a win over Roy but it's not a rebound to beat Roy as he's TERRIBLE....

Rupp does a passable impression of a heavyweight, while Roy nails his Stortini impersonation..

Posted by calgarytough on March 11, 2009 at 05:06 AM

you right roy is awfull he is by far the worst flames enforcer of all time either he falls right away and most the time he dosent even earn a major, or he stays outside and throws punches at guys shoulders he sucks

Let's face it, both these seeming heavyweights have had some rough goes of late, so it's nice to see a pretty good go here as the looked to get glancing shots in because the holds are pretty tight. It seemed like the momentum of Rupp's last chuck sent the ducking Roy off balance, but did manage to connect as Roy fell down. We give this to Rupp. Somebody had to win at some point.

A middle of the road fighter beating the Flamers so called tough guy. What a bunch of over rated pussies this team is. Another Flamers loss. If it wasn't for them picking fights with the other teams Euro's, they would probably never win a fight. If it wasn't so funny/entertaining to watch these guys get their asses kicked all of the time it would be sad. It is kind of pathetic though. Maybe they should quit while they're behind. Actually, I take that back, there's too many of us that are enjoying watching them get beaten up on a nightly basis. The Flamers should call up JD Watt, he will fit right in.

Ruppp been quiet for awhile. Nice to see him comming back swinging. Gets the W with the haymaker at the end.

rupp pounded roy to the ice....easy win for rupp........roy has got to be hands down the worst heavyweight fighter maybe of all time.......roy is just plain awful......i cant believe this guy actually drops the gloves.....its unbelievable and just plain ridiculous........roy you are a cremepuff

Rupp with the win.

I have some trouble taking Roy seriously since he got KO'd by Riley Cote last year and I hate the Devils, which gives me a good reason to want to see both of these guys get beat down. However, Rupp wins because he kept Roy off balance and knocked him down (even though it wasn't a punch that did it.

Rupp definitely landed more shots and a couple of good ones, win for him...

Posted by moneybags on March 13, 2009 at 03:31 AM

rupp took it to him.

Posted by SCOTTSO on March 11, 2009 at 11:25 PM

not sure roy landed much, the replays show rupp landed some pretty good shots......win rupp...........roy will end up being the next one to be knocked out and hurt, like fedoruk he better be careful!

Posted by MakaveliTrained on March 11, 2009 at 12:39 PM

Rupp with the big hit on Roy and then won the fight easily...

Posted by claire alexande on March 14, 2009 at 11:32 AM

Have to give the edge to rupp who utilizes his much greater size and reach to advantage, as well as roy's horrible balance. But then again, as mahatma gandhi once said, it's not how many you win, it's whether you show up. DaveBrownHOF, I note your oilers are stinking the league out; or is it the flyers, who the flames just finished demolishing.

Looked like a lot of punches didn't connect and Roy may have been off-balance when he went down, but I think Rupp had the edge.

Posted by goody72 on July 16, 2009 at 04:05 PM

Until the knockdown at the end, pretty close fight. Give Rupp the win.

Posted by azjim on March 13, 2009 at 04:50 AM

Rupp took advantage of his reach and won.

The best part of that fight was the song Kung Fo Fighting playing in the background. I think about it still and a smile comes on my face. Hi-Yaa!!!

Posted by mbgrocki on March 12, 2009 at 12:43 PM

not sure what all the fuss is about...at least they were both throwing punches...win to rupp

Posted by chad420 on March 15, 2009 at 06:54 PM

TKO rupp..the overhand behind the ear lays the smack down again
