Posted by billy jack on February 10, 2010 at 01:20 AM

king with the sore hand tried to get kocis helmet off and it cost him a bit but draw.

Posted by Frankie jr on February 10, 2010 at 11:09 AM

I hate that goon Koci he sucks he is a dirty player I was so happy when big Z beat him good this fight was a draw.

Posted by pepsigenerate on February 09, 2010 at 09:15 AM

calling it a draw,King being a little rusty but hung in there when koci was connecting with lefts/rights,i say that was one of koci,s good fights but King still hung in there despite the fact he was a little rusty.

Both landed---Draw

Posted by Clark75 on February 09, 2010 at 04:49 PM

Looks like Koci broke a knuckle or his hand. Draw

Posted by bruiseyoureye on February 09, 2010 at 02:54 PM

i thought king was much better than this.......king looked awful and lands nothing......when you get your ass kicked by davis koci somethings wrong.

Posted by lovejoy on February 09, 2010 at 08:57 AM

Clear win for Koci. Bad luck he broke his hand in this fight. He's gonna miss for 6-8 weeks.

Posted by shrk33 on February 09, 2010 at 11:37 AM

Koci handles a pretty tough King rather easily.

Posted by illinidarin on February 09, 2010 at 03:49 PM

King was off in this fight. I dont think all the sudden you can say that King is not tough because of 1 fight. Orr got knocked down by Shelley, does that mean Orr is not tough? Carkner got knocked down by Orr, does that mean Carkner is not tough? It was just an off night for King and thats it. Hell, even Probert in his hayday got KO'ed by Todd Ewen, but that doesn't mean Probert wasn't tough anymore. It kinda looks like King was a little tenative in this fight . I think his injury problems was in his mind a little bit going into this fight. I would bet we will see the real King in his next fight. He passed the test with his hand now he will have more purpose in the next fight. BTW, The Blues play Toronto on Friday. I have a feeling we will see a Orr vs King fight in that game.

King looks nervous to let the widowmaker fly, however Kocheese is starving for a win and can congratulate himself for beating up a 1 armed man.

Posted by staceyb on February 09, 2010 at 07:40 PM

Koci showing his potpourri of hockey skills in that one.

Posted by hal29 on February 09, 2010 at 01:16 PM

i'm going slight edge to koci on this one. nice to see king back up now lets see if he can stay up. he is a pretty descent fighter. not great but very good. he is exciting to watch but this wasn't his best showing in my opinion. learn the difference between a ko and tko. orr did not get ko'd he got tko'd. carkner got ko'd big difference. learn the difference of the two.

DJ looked rusty but its great to see him back i will tip my hat to Koci is started slow this year but has he has been steadily improving edge Koci in this bout welcome back DJ really hope the hand holds up!!

Posted by oldtichasprague on February 09, 2010 at 02:32 AM

Koci has done more for win than passive D.J.King.

Posted by tattooedkingpin on February 09, 2010 at 05:45 PM

good fight. no defense. Slight edge to Koci. unfortunately it looks like Koci might have broken his wrist

Posted by bruins rule on February 08, 2010 at 10:44 PM

gave koci the slight edge in this fight.

Posted by crosscheck52 on February 09, 2010 at 09:41 PM

Koci was landing punches faster than the announcer could say, "Right by King, right by King." Good heavyweight fight, I liked Koci's aggressiveness in this one.

Posted by SABREHATRED on February 09, 2010 at 08:06 PM

A very disappointing performance from the guy in blue and gold.... Hey, that's what every sabre wife said on their wedding night!!!!!!

Posted by fernben8 on February 09, 2010 at 05:26 PM

Lots of punches but Koci connects with more... Koci's right hand in need of ice time..hopefully not fractured.

Posted by JoeCritter on February 09, 2010 at 02:12 PM

Koci for a second there reminded me of T. Domi. You read BrokenLeg's reviews?

Posted by EmmVeePee on February 14, 2010 at 12:22 PM

Koci wins

Posted by Togalthorpe on February 09, 2010 at 03:26 PM

Edge Koci

Posted by Martell on February 09, 2010 at 11:19 PM

Koci- slight advantage

Posted by Behn Wilson on February 10, 2010 at 11:19 PM

Did I just see ''Koci handle'' King????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Either...credit where credit's due, or I'm having an acid flashback. Rust, or no rust... (as a King fan, myself)...that just shouldn't happen.

Posted by jrh on February 09, 2010 at 07:44 AM

I give Koci the slight edge for landing maybe one or two more. Great heavyweight fight. Both guys were throwing. I think Koci hurt his hand as he was looking at it during the fight and didn't return to the game. King knocked some of the rust off after a LOOOONNNNGGGG layoff. Look for him to be more active in the next few games.

Posted by b.t.wilson on February 09, 2010 at 09:27 AM

koci definitely took this wild one. the quality of fights went from about a 2.0 average on monday to a 6.0 average on tuesday, how about that?

Posted by bluesrule08 on February 09, 2010 at 01:50 PM

i still dont know why king plays. at least janssen can skate decently. king just..doesnt lol

Posted by JJ33 on February 09, 2010 at 06:35 AM

Edge/Win Koci.

Posted by mr.alphabet on February 09, 2010 at 10:58 AM

decent exchange at the start, felt that Koci landed better, looks like King hurt his right hand too but it was Koci who broke his-- Koci the victor hopefully we see a redeemer bout between King and Orr seeing as they both got handled tonight, Orr obviously getting KO'd as opposed to King losing decisively

Posted by Tiny SWO on February 08, 2010 at 11:15 PM

Just so everyone knows, brokenleg posted his review before the video of the fight made it online. What are the odds that he's actually watching this game on TV, thus qualified to make an intelligent guess at who won? Close fight but I give the slight edge to Koci. It was by no means domination or "no contest" as brokenleg would have you believe.

Posted by Bullybeatdown on February 10, 2010 at 09:14 AM

Nice fight for Koci, win meathead.

Posted by Bosoxshute on February 08, 2010 at 10:17 PM

Good fight here. Pretty close. Koci had to go to the locker room to get his hand patched up after bouncing it off King's helmet a couple times.

Posted by metz87 on February 09, 2010 at 04:09 PM

Clear win for Koci in ths good fight.

Posted by sedinfan on February 09, 2010 at 08:57 PM

Koci for sure, those of you that voted for King must be sleeping with him. Too bad about the broken hand for Koci however.

Posted by kronvallizer78 on February 09, 2010 at 01:59 PM

All koci in this one he really clocked king in that scrap easy win

Kochi takes it to king in this fight

Posted by toaster1960 on February 09, 2010 at 08:26 PM

Koci got more connecting flights than King.

Posted by paddyd on February 09, 2010 at 02:50 PM

Saw both of these guys fight (not one another) many times in the AHL and I have been very impressed by King. I saw him flaten a real tough guy by the name Mike Squroi (fractured orb). I thought Koci was done but he aquitted himself ver well in this one and I have to give him the nod for more hits. Koci with the win but make no mistake about it King is a tough Dude and will back down from no one.

Posted by Oil Can Henry on February 09, 2010 at 03:30 PM

One of Koci's better efforts,...he actually, landed a few here,....draw.

Posted by nickfotiu on February 09, 2010 at 10:36 PM

good heavyweight bout by todays standards..draw no doubt

Posted by durka on February 27, 2010 at 11:58 AM

Posted by LilHockeyGirl on March 24, 2010 at 12:39 AM

Very nice. Koci won that, no doubt.

Posted by tomales2 on February 09, 2010 at 09:01 AM

I've heard nothing but hype about King for the past months (not very familiar with him) and nothing but insults directed at Koci. Interesting. Win Koci

Posted by muskokadangler on February 10, 2010 at 06:48 PM

Koci"s got a sore PAW!!!! Is he stupid or what???? It looked like he wanted the linesman to stop it because of his sore PINKIE..........I don't think that's part of the "CODE" It would have been funny if he got cranked......Fight till it's over!!!!!

Posted by pvdrummer2000 on March 02, 2015 at 12:37 AM

Koci was impressive and really put the fists to King... so much so that he actually hurt his hand.

Posted by chad420 on February 10, 2010 at 10:12 PM

win koci...good tilt...heal up quick

Posted by BigTot on February 09, 2010 at 02:31 PM
