Chara Won hands down

People who call Z a goon really don't have a clue at all! Imagine what he could do IF he actually went into goon mode! How many people he could hurt even at 42 yrs old. As far as this fight goes? I know why Kane was upset, he doesn't have the same view as we do & you could clearly see that yes! He took an elbow to the face, but it wasn't Z's fault. Kane actually was reaching for the puck & he ran into Z's elbow, moreso than Z gave him an elbow. The other thing is? In comparison to size, reach & weight? How else would Kane be able to get his own cheapshots in if he didn't do it when Chara wasn't looking. Kane didn't care if his punches were clean or not! He wanted to rip Chara's head off, but knew he wouldn't be able to do it face on! Z's a big boy & one of the strongest & most fit athletes in sports EVER! You gonna tangle with this guy? You better be at least 6 5" 240! Most knew once Z got back up Kane was in deep trouble. Even Kane knew that!

Used to respect Kane .. no longer .... jumps Chara and gets his ass kicked by big Z. Would like to see round 2

Chara takes care of business after getting attacked from behind, Kane does the smart thing and hides or he would have looked like Koci. Was a cheap elbow from Chara though which probably cut Kane open, and in this NHL, he will probably have a phone call meeting tomorrow. Kyleg, Kane vs Reaves? Kane wouldn't last 10 seconds. The one i would like to see is Reaves and Chara.

Is everyone on this thread high? No significant shots by Chara? He let up and yet still teed up on Kane. Kane tried to get the jump like he was doing all game and paid for it. His nose was leaking and he had a cut under his eye. Chara connected with quite a few at the end while Kane was holding on to dear life

I agree with folks, Jack Edwards bias is painful. I wont give a B a fight if not warranted. My take. Kane 1) was trying to get something going. That's the sentiment on the Sharks right now, that they are getting pushed around. hence, the Mike Haley waiver pick up. So Kane was aprtly pushing back on his bouncing off the big guy like a rag doll. He suckered him, pretty much par for the course with Evander. Chara was pizzed, you could see it. Chara's elbow to Kane's head was a cheap shot. I'm not a fan of Kane who's no angel himself but Chara gives cheap shots regularly enough and kudos to Kane for standing up for himself. It's too bad he didn't get a couple of good shots into Chara's mug when he had the chance. Yes Kane jumped him but Chara relies on his size and strength to intimidate opponents who are reluctant to retaliate when he delivers his cheap shots. whatever you think about Chara, or the Bruins, Chara never does stuff that hurts his own team. contrast this with Kane, who cost the Sharks 2 points in the last game, and did nothing to help last night. PS, despite his size, Chara is a notoriously bad fighter, while Kane is probably the 1st or 2nd best fighter currently still playing. still a fairly clear W for Chara.

All these championships up here in Boston really have brought the hate to a new level. First of all, that was clearly not an elbow to Kane's noggin' that preceded his ill advised attack on Chara. Those of you who think it was okay for Kane to punch away at Chara while he was still down on the ice fall in the same category as Kane, gutless cowards, deserving the same beatdown Kane got after Chara got up.

Kane needs to understand "reach advantage." Chara wailed on him at will.

Kane makes the mistake of going after Chara with his back turned (he'd already turned him down earlier on in the game in favor of jumping Kuraly), and gets off relatively easy for having woken up the angry old grizzly bear. Still a decisive win for Chara.

Chara deserves a suspension for the high hit on Kane. But the NHL Refs never call a penalty when Kane is involved. Just watching????? The guts Kane showed was enough to win this fight against someone much bigger. Look at the earlier fight in the game, and there is no reason for Kane to pick up an extra penalty in that one. The NHL uses a Ref with 93 whole games of experience in the rematch of last weeks game when the Refs sent an apology to the Sharks because they screwed up. What a joke!
